Not the best BUS800 prof. Class does not need to drag on as long as he makes it, not clear about grading criteria either. Course is group work heavy, and has a ridiculous amount of work for very low weights.

AVOID AT ALL COST!!! He is by far the worst BUS800 Prof at Ryerson. He isn't clear with what he expects for the assignments. His lectures are worthless and won't really help you to do the individual and group assignment. My group and I had to rely on textbook to help us with the assignments. He demotivates students!

He was one AMAZING professor who goes over the easiest methods to make accounting easy. For someone like me who hated accounting, he made me LOVE accounting. The midterm and finals were SUPER EASY if you study and practice.

The compulsory participation mark brings your average down since you barely get chance to talk in class. You will have a lot of in-class assignments to do, discussions and attend his boring lecture. This course is not coordinated properly. He is the worse prof, does not give fair marks, cuts marks for no reason. Every student hated him.

Professor Love is a cool guy. His lectures are smooth and he explains concepts in a manner that is so natural. Very easy going prof. His marking scheme is pretty lenient.

Taking Accounting 100 through the Chang School with Professor Love was great. He's very knowledgable & provides clear explanations on how to do things & how to perform well in the course. He produced a great learning environment with his humorous & laid-back attitude; making it clear to students he was available & always willing to help.

John Love is an amazing teacher. One of the nicest professor I've ever met. Cares about his students, very helpful. Really fast in replying emails. Uses iClicker for weekly quizzes. Final exam is easier than his midterm.

I really liked John. He was patient, personable and very experienced. I also appreciated the fact that he was always available for us after class or by email at just about any time. If you put the effort in he will put the effort in to support you. Uses iClicker for weekly quizzes. Mid-termfinal were tricky. Listen in class, he hates talkers. ;)

Writes poor quizzes and is more interested in posturing than actually understanding the questions his students ask. Cannot anticipate questions students ask, doesn't understand or engage in dialogue. Wouldn't use the word "teacher" to describe him.

I honestly really liked John. He made great use of iClickers and some specific lectures were boring (material, not him). I find that hiss second test was better than the first. Also, his style of teaching relies a lot on class discussion so it's actually enjoyable to listed to. He did a good job tailoring it to arts kids. Take the class!

I took his course for a business venture class that sounded great-not at all with him!! He does not make his own powerpoints. He skips a lot of the slides and says he posted it online so we can read it on our own time. He is a hard marker & his tests do not reflect what is talked about in class. Only bright side- take home final exam.

WORST! I took an into to Business Venture class with him and let me say, you will regret having him as a prof. He doesn't make his own lectures, instead reads off of textbook slides. His tests also don't reflect what he taught and with his lack of review,makes it a very challenging testing. Also very subliminally opinionated in politics -_-

Honest, practical, gets through the material without fanfare. Open to suggestions. Always read off slides but generally explains concepts well. Good at answering questions. Midterm pretty easy if you were paying attention. Go to class and you'll be fine.

Speaks too fast, likes to read off slides. Not very good at explaining. Hates showing examples on the white board. I asked him to demonstrate how he would approach a question and he groans when he needs to do that. Thank gosh he did though, things made sense after that. Nice guy though, seems like he cares. Midterm/Final have some tricks.

Very clear in regards to homework and assignments. Genuinely cares about his students. I had no previous Accounting background and founded the midterm extremely easy (since it was covered in class prior to it, no tricks or un-expecting questions) Best Accounting prof, hands down. Easy A+

Excellent instructor. Covered the material in a comprehensive, yet accessible manner. He was clear as to his expections concerning exams, and provided ample review. I greatly enjoyed this class.
