If you plan on doing a 4 year university he is a great choice. This class is in no way easy, and youll have to put in extreme amounts of effort but Im sorry thats college. People cry about failing, but no one routinely showed up to the help center. I went every chance I got when he was there, even when I had a job. If you do that you will pass!!

Best Math professor I have ever had, he makes it easy to understand. The only way you would not pass his class is if you didn't try, and even then he will non-stop encourage you. He available in the Math Center a lot for extra help, and he does a fantastic job of connecting with students. Not only that, but the dude is hilarious and loves Menards

If you are bad at math and want good help, don't choose him. He knows his math, but if you can't understand he makes you feel so dumb and low you, feel embarrassed to even ask for help-especially if you don't understand the first time he explains it to you. He also says "Us Mathematicians" multiple times throughout lectures. He is conceited.

Best Instructor for a pure Mathematician. If you are a Math major definitely take him. He believes that math should be done with a book open and a notebook open. If you have a digital textbook and generally do not know how to utilize a textbook you are gonna struggle. He makes himself available in the Math Center, go see him, go to office hours.

John Mark Henry is the best math professor I have ever had. His passion towards teaching is amazing and he pushes his students to exceed the minimum. That being said, you have to be prepared when coming to class and be ready to learn. Make sure you learn the material early because it all builds. He is also very open and wants students to do well.

He expects his students to be smart and work hard. One time I went to him for help and he did give good feedback but he talked to me like I was stupid and I never went to him for help again. Other than that, very good professor. He makes it easy to pay attention in class and he is actually pretty funny.

I took John Mark Henry for three semesters of Math total. Really with his credentials he could go to any university he wanted. He is very helpful, both in and outside of class. He is extremely funny and explains concepts very well. His tests are challenging. If you are about to take a Math class at LLCC, make sure you take it with John Mark Henry.

I took Henry for both Calculus and General Ed Math. He is one of those professors that should be teaching at a higher-leveled university. Lincoln Land is very lucky to have him. His classes are not "show up and pass" easy but if you put in the effort and pay attention in class you will learn a lot. Overall excellent professor in all areas.

My friend said she took his class & he made her love math, so I decided to take his class. I'm glad I did. I could have taken Calculus but I took this since my major doesn't need anything more. This math is what you would use in real life. He tells lots of stories and explains things well. I never did the assignments. The examples are all you need.

Professor Henry has a gift for making math fun and interesting, even for those who don't care for math. He is a math genius, and yet he can break it down for the non-math oriented. Well respected and loved by students. Just show up and ask questions. (He could probably teach a household pet to do math, that's how good he is)

He is very energetic and passionate about math. I have never been that great in the math department but did well in his class. He walks you through the correct way to do the problems and although homework is not mandatory he provides you with a list of problems to practice for the test. Does a great job of preparing you for math in life.

Amazing professor. He spends considerable time helping students not only in his office or through email but also in the Math Center. Although, he can be taken a bit brash, he can still effectively teach and educate especially if you are struggling with concepts. I HIGHLY recommend taking JMH for any math classes. However, expect a difficult class.

Mr. Henry comes into class energetic, happy, and ready to teach. This is very valuable to those who do not enjoy math in particular. Henry has a lot of experience in his field. Sometimes it is hard for him to relate with the confused students perspective, Mr. Henry does a good job of explaining problems step by step so understanding is possible. :)

His class is difficult and his tests are very hard but if you do the homework and study you'll succeed in his class. Going to his office and talking to him about questions is easy and he most certainly doesn't laugh at you when you have questions. For those who wish to obtain a firm understanding of math, take his course.

If you struggle with math and are taking 104 for an easy grade, think again. Henry's tests are brutal and with only 50 minutes to plow through 4+ pages of pure absurdity, it's hard seeing anyone who struggles with math getting out with anything greater than a C. If you love the subject you'll love him, if you hate it best find someone else.
