This dude is awesome. Great guy and even better teacher. Very chill and relaxing. Tests are easy as hell and you don't really need to pay attention in class. He is so cool he would be giving the test and just give us answers for fun. Must take!

John is beast. Has a real passion for music and understands that the people in this class are only taking it for their art history credit. Shows you what you need to know for the test and gives a lot of bonus. Genuine man and will play his guitar for you in class which I thought was very neat. Study a day before the test and you'll get an A.

Easy as pie. Don't buy the ebook he 'requires,' it's a waste of money. Just YouTube the songs prior to the exams. He tells you EXACTLY what is on each test, and all the notes are given in his syllabus. Extremely nice guy, who loves extra credit. Nice, easy A. Great blow off course.

THIS GUY HAS THE FINGERS OF AN ANGEL!! He brings his 6-string to class sometimes and seizes to amaze, always. It's nuts how good he is on that acoustic. A great looking man too with a really bright and outgoing personality. Easy class but really teaches a lot about the history of music and how it shapes our culture. LOVE J-MARC.

Literally the easiest class i have ever taken... including high school. I got a 110% in the class. I did still study only cas i wanted a 100 but probably didnt need to. Dont even need the textbook or mymusic lab thing as u can just youtube the music. and hes an unbelievable musician

Class is easy thanks to sooo much extra credit. I have very little interest in music, so taking him for 3 hours one night a week was a mistake. Overall, though, probably the easiest professor you'll ever have.

Super easy, super boring. You just need a pen/pencil and the note packet he gives on the first day. Tests are DIRECTLY form the notes, listen to the songs so that you know them well and you'll easily get over 100 on the tests. Very nice guy, laid back, monotone, but helpful. Try not to fall asleep. Very recommended for the music half of A&tHE.

Nice guy, VERY easy, VERY boring. All you need is the syllabus/note-packet from day 1 and a pen/pencil. Tests are DIRECTLY from the notes, listen to the songs a few times and you'll be fine. Great teacher, easy and doesn't expect you to learn a lot of stuff. Definitly recommend him to anyone else who has to take art and the human experience, but don't take the 2hr 40min night class, you might fall asleep.

Not a bad guy. His tests weren't hard at all, lots of bonus...take advantage of it. Tells you what's gonna be on the test, before you take it.Interesting class, although his voice is monotone and I fell asleep a couple of times in his class.
