He's a super smart guy but possibly one of the worst professors i have taken at CCU. Doesn't respond to emails, does not care about grade, the tests are not crazy hard but he doesn't give any study guide whatsoever. Do NOT take his Micro class.

Dr. Marcis is one of the worst professors at CCU. He is hard to reach during his office hours, does not know how to answer questions students ask, and does not assign homework. Grades are determined on 4 exams - sample questions are helpful. I would not recommend him just because he gets very confused when a student asks a question.

The only good thing is that you don't have to buy the textbook. That's it. Has zero interest in helping students. I would have made a 4.0 last semester if it wasn't for him. And I actually like econ. Save yourself!

Class is dreadful. Everybody hates it. Gotta go to get the notes though. Allows cheat sheet on tests. If you don't mind spending about an hour before tests writing all the answers in small font and stapling it to the test you should end up with a good grade in this class. Check online homework often. New assignments rarely announced in class

this guy is weird. Always looks at ceiling and wont look directly at students. He constantly sweated all the time, it was nasty. overall easy class. but one of the creepiest teachers i have had at CCU. exempt from final if you get above a 92 average.

Definantly not a good professor to take for this class. He allows a half sheet for notes to use during the exam but the tests are still extreamly difficult. One student asked if she could ask questions through email and he told her no that he wasnt sure if he would have the time to answer. He has no interest in helping students with questions.

He knows alot about econ, but don't be fooled, he gives his own notes and lets you use a cheat sheet on test. Even with all that help he still makes the tests to his knowledge not what he teaches. Many of his questions are tricks or worded very complicated, sometimes with triple negatives. If you are already bad at tests you will not enjoy his clas

Do take Marcis during the summer... He's less strict and uses white powder and purple pill supply and demand examples. He's odd, but... makes class interesting, if only for his mannerisms!

he is a reasonable professor that allows you to use a half sheet of paper-provided by him, to write what every you want for his exams that is by far useless to help your grade. notes seems to be useless also for his quizes also that are all online.

very good professor, i recommend him over any econ 202 professor. you do not need the book, i've never bought it for the first econ 201 and got an A. he gives u notes during the class to following along and sample questions for the test, they are very helpful for the exams. he takes attendance randomly for extra credit. he gives several EC chances.

He tells you exactly what will be on the test, however there are some trick questions and you really need to take your time with his exams. If you show up for class you will get extra credit on the test. This class is not impossible but it does require a lot of studying

I don't get what everyones problem is w/ this guy. He is waaaaaaayyyyyyy easier than Carr, who is horrible. I found the class to be really easy, and i was horrible at Econ before i took him. He gives 7 pts extra credit out on each test! He also makes handouts for everything so u don't have to write everything urself. Show up and you'll do well!
