Dr. Marx is one of my favorite professors! He is friendly and easy going, which makes discussions in class easy to engage in. As long as you show that you've read the assigned readings, and do the work, you should get a good grade. He will do all he can to help you in the class. He is not my advisor but I go to him for advice on school anyways!

He's pretty easy. complete your notecards because he is nit picky. he knows what he wants. tests are mainly like the pre-tests. turn in labs and do the extra credit before the tests....take it right out the book.

I wouldn't say he is easy, but he rewards effort. Those who don't apply themselves will definitely know. He doesn't have a problem giving lower grades. Overall, Dr. Marx has become an incredible influence in my life and is a true friend. He's clear, helpful, and incredibly knowledgeable. Take his classes. This is what college should be.

Dr. Marx is an amazing professor! If you have any chance at all to take him...take it! You will be miss out on a great opportunity if you don't take his class! DR. MARX FOR PRESIDENT! Love, love, LOVE him. Take everything you can that he teaches. Dr. Marx rocks!! If you're not a Sociology major but need the intro course as a requirement, Dr. Marx is the perfect person to take the class from - it's fun, pretty easy, and he makes the material entertaining and interesting. I've taken several classes from Dr. Marx - he's the kind of teacher I'd like to become some day. He will stand on his head to get the concept through to everyone in the room. Put forth any effort at all and you'll do well. Also, he's smart, funny, and SMOKIN' hot. He encourages class participation, so don't just sit there - jump in to the class!

Dr Marx is totally rock awesome but wow, there are a lot of readings for the class. His lectures are ok, and he likes to be funny and get class participation. Tests are definately study-worthy and are from the readings and lectures mostly but the book a bit too.

he is so cool! he's a REALLY great teacher, he gets into great class discussions that makes any topic interesting! He's really friendly and helpful too. If you just come to class and actually do the work and participate, you'll do well, he doesnt try to trick you. He's pretty cute too!
