Fantastic teacher, very clear on what he expected out of his students and one of the only English instructers to actually stick to his syllabus. Interesting film choices. Papers and assignments were plentiful but that is to be expected in this class.

this man is a ambigiuos pain in the butt. he doesnt clarify anythign and the papes built on each other but you didnt get htem back soon enough to be of any help... he should not be teaching the class. and i think the class should be changed a bit to accomidate the law students.... and the law enforcement studets...

he knows so much about film. i found his methods well organized and his film selection varied, if a little strange sometimes. he just wanted to choose films that were art films but ones that no one else would ever choose. made his choices a little obscure sometimes.

Pretty hard class, but I learned a lot. I got an A, but I had to work pretty hard at it. I dont know why everyone is bad mouthing him, he's a pretty nice guy.

English 210 just for Criminal Justice students turned out to be a law class. The assignments given were semester classes taught in law school and of no help for this level of education. He was of no help in explaining assignments and the assignments were an added expense financially. Also used books not assigned for use by the class.

This guy is a tool. Each paper was based on the previous one, and he took a month to grade, so you never knew if you were on the right track until it was too late. He gives grades such as A-/B+. I hope he dies.

Professor McConnell is very articulate and knowledgeable in his area of expertise, which is film. It's a new class called Writing About Film McConnell does a good job of directing class discussion and making relevant comments. Good Class
