great prof who is really passionate about EEG. he makes lectures and labs interesting, and is always available for extra help. attending lecture is crucial for understanding the material and doing well on exams/assignments. would definitely take a class with john again!

Interesting material. Main focus is on his own research and his methods and brings examples of his work to lectures. First midterm was cake but second was a bit tougher. Assignments are easy and iclicker questions are mandatory. Great prof and I wish I could take his lab session.

He gets caught up in technical details and seems more interested in methods than in theories and questions or their relevance to anything. Doesn't seem interested in psychology or in teaching. Exams and papers seem easy enough, and grades are not harsh but they are arbitrary and whimsical. Can't tell you what the right answer was or where you lost
