He is such a great professor. There is no book required. He provides the Powerpoints and homework questions. He is a tough grader in a sense. You have to be very specific in your answers. Study! Attendance is not mandatory but can help towards your grade. He provides great examples and cares about his students a lot. Would take him again!

Professor McGinnis is an incredibly friendly guy. Very lecture heavy which can be very tedious b/c the whole class time is spent listening to him talk. Tests are difficult-mostly multiple choice with a few essay questions at the end. No study guide or class review. Final not cumulative. Class activities & 2 small "projects" which are super easy.

He is a very caring man. However, he is a very tough grader. His tests are difficult. Even if you give the correct answer, but you word it in a way he does not like, it will be marked completely wrong.

Caring but he is a very tough grader, if it is not worded the way you want it you will not get a good or even decent grade. The tests are very hard and tries to trip you up, not straight forward. No study guides or any guidance.

Probably one of the best professors I have ever had. He is so nice, makes my 8:30am exciting, and really loves what he teaches. His class is very straightforward and he makes marketing fun to learn about. He is very helpful and his tests & hw are not hard. Doesn't even make you get a textbook. Take him, you will end up loving this professor!

Dr. McGinnis is one of the best instructors I've had @ MSU. The course consisted of 3 short exams (non-cumulative), 3 or 4 short articles to read w/ some Q's, & 1 group project. His exam reviews are easy to follow, just fill in w/ notes from class, including his examples. Overall, Dr. McGinnis was very helpful & I would definitely recommend him!

He's a very happy & sweet guy. Rather than using a textbook, lectures are based on PowerPoints that he posts on Canvas. Work includes 4 short articles to read & answering some Q's and one group project at the very end. Exams are easy if you fill out the study guide he gives you. Answers are straight from powerpoint and articles.

Overall great professor very sweet and gitty. Grades homework assignments hard because he looks for very specific answers. In class he is energetic and keeps the class going smoothly. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

professor McGinnis is ok...I think he wasn't fair in grading because the information isn't worded correctly like he wants. Provide a lot of detail in homework and tests. STUDY for exams!! Make sure you read your notes and study guide. No textbook. Wouldn't take him again

Dr. McGinnis is an awesome professor who actually cares if students learn the material. The class itself is actually very interesting if you are into things such as marketing. However, he can be somewhat of a tough grader; you need to be very detailed with answers on tests/quizzes/homework. He's very nice and is there to help you. NO TEXTBOOK!!!

I never ever do these but Dr. McGinnis is one of the most memorable cutest teachers I've ever had. His class is super easy, no textbook and he is the absolute sweetest teacher you could ever take. TAKE HIM YOU WON'T REGRET IT he says gee golly and gee wiz .... thats how you know

Loved him!!! HE explained material very clearly, gave a lot of examples. HE explained things that even a 5 yr old would understand his material. Easy tests, AND NO FINAL!!!!! little group projects, in which for example,you just had to give a new name to a product which took like 5 min. very helpful, didnt need a textbook, attandance required

BEST TEACHER HANDS DOWN!!!! I TOOK MARKETING MY FIRST YEAR AND HAD A HORRIBLE TEACHER, I GAVE IT ANOTHR SHOT AND I TOOK HIM THIS SEMESTER AND MY LOVE FOR MARKETING INCREASED! Perfect example of what a good professor is. He's very nice and is really funny. His examples/stories are the best. Overall the class has 3 exams and 4 articles, one being extra credit. Many opportunities to improve your grade. One of my favorite classes! Made me change my major to business finance!
