Dr. Morrow is awesome! The class is a lot of work but it's worth it. We read 7 books this semester along with required textbook reading. He grades fairly and if you put in the work you're rewarded. It's a very small class so participation is essential. The tests are hard but with nothing unexpected. If you care, he will care about you.

I learned a lot in the class. He has a tendency to bring discussions to contemporary American politics. The class I took had two essay exams and three papers. The exams required a lot of knowledge, but all of it was in the textbook. I did well on the papers once I knew how he graded. He rewards class participation. If you work, you will do well.

This was more of a seminar class so reading was critical! He chooses good books outside of the text book that (imo) were interesting and relevant to what we were learning. We had 2 tests and 3 essays but you could just do 2/3 essays if you wanted. He can be a tough grader on essays, but it's easy enough to meet with him outside of class to get help

Dr. Morrow is awesome. Take his class. Our final was watching "Fury," that tank movie with Brad Pitt. Just write a couple papers and take a couple tests. Read some good books and listen to his rants about how different people in history were idiots and/or jerks.

I took this class as a freshman history major and absolutely LOVED it. It is a very challenging class because he assigns a lot of reading and you have to use good time management skills to stay on top of it, but there is no final exam ( we got to watch a movie) and the lectures are awesome even though he does tend to ramble a little.

If you love history and if you're willing to work, take this class. If you do your reading before class like you should and take notes during the lecture, you should do fine and leave with a much better understanding of the world wars. Dr. Morrow is a renowned, well-published historian and if you're willing to work, his class is very rewarding.

Came back to look at who wrote such great reviews and they're from YEARS ago. UPDATED review I dropped the class before drop add. Reading is incredibly demanding. You NEVER talk about the books. No lectures whatsoever. 2 tests 2 papers that's it. Test is over 2 books and is random people/vocab ID's + 2 short essays over difficult topics. AVOID.

Good class. Information is interesting and Dr. Morrow's an entertaining professor. The lectures got off track most of the time, but the discussion was engaging enough to not be a waste of time. Keep up on readings and don't be scared to meet with him in his office to discuss assignments, he's easy to talk with and very clear with his instructions.

Morrow is in my top 3 favorite profs, no exaggeration. No, you will not get an A, but you will get an awesome experience in his class. Your views will be challenged, and the reading load is heavy, but you will leave the class understanding not just WWI/WWII, but what makes history: people, societies, human nature. He is simply outstanding.

Dr. Morrow is by far the most interesting professor I have had. His classes are always very interesting, due to the intense discussions we have. BUT you do not cover your actual material in class. He is VERY biased but is undoubtably very intelligent. I learned a whole lot from him, and highly recommend him. DO THE READING- I did and I made an A

I did well, so I'm not a bitter student looking to dis a prof. that failed them. That said, Dr. Morrow is terrible. He's knowledgeable and bright, but lectures are useless. He just rambles about his political ideals and refuses to use notes, which get him totally off track. 6 books, 1 test, 3 papers. I didn't learn anything. Class=a waste of time.

This class was an absolute waste of time. I'm convinced that Dr. Morrow doesn't know how to lecture. All he did was ramble on about how he went to one of the best colleges and has been offered tons of oppourtunities to chair the departments at other universities. Give me a break, he is so arrogant and openly biased. Good luck trying to get an A.

Very intelligent and demanding professor. Challenges students' beliefs and opinions very often, but helps personal thought grow and mature. Readings are time-consuming and lectures tend to get political, btu overall an enjoyable class and a professor I am looking forward to taking again.

I had him for a Freshman Seminar. Although it was kinda boring, it was a really easy class. He's an easy grader, too. I got A's on both of the papers. He's a nice guy who definitely knows the material well. I recommend him.

Prof. Morrow is very well versed in his field. He tells the truth without sugar-coating it for people who don't want to acknowledge reality. If you have problems with him, it's due to personal beliefs. Is a wonderful teacher that truly cares about the education of his students. HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! DO NOT MISS HIS CLASS!!

Can get off topic and political, but definitely a brillant mind who loves his students and will help you out if you just ask. Class is straightforward and tests are no suprises; grading is very fair and not too difficult. Always has an opinion about everything and likes to challenge people, so be sure to back up what you say with facts.

This man has lost his mind, which is a shame. He is a very bright man and clearly knows a great deal about the World Wars. Sadly, he more interested in talking about his personal problems than actually teaching the course. His class is easy. If you bash America and talk about racism in your essays, you are guranteed to get an "A"

Morrow is a very demanding professor, but at the same time extremly knowledgable of his subject area. While class discussions can be blatently political, his expansive knowledge and no-nonsense attitute toward teaching and learning ensures that students learn everything they have to and them some.
