Class was frustrating at first but after learning how the class works, it got easier. Quizzes didnt seem to come from the book at first, but you can retake them as much as needed. He was good at keeping open lines of communication open. It wasnt hard, just time consuming.

I took OCE2001 online. I am not a dummy, but this is the hardest class I have ever taken. His tests do not match the study material at all. STAY AWAY!!!

This was my final class to finish my degree....the worst professor I have ever had. Does not grade work in a timely manner....had assignments from the first two weeks that he waited to grade until the last week of class. Emailed him multiple regarding exam grades with never a response. He should not be teaching all he's doing is collecting a check

I'm not kidding, this was the worst professor I ever had. I got an A and I still would never take the class again because it was that big a headache. The tests are not material you've covered -- class averages for every test are less than 50% and he just doesn't care. He mumbles, makes bad jokes, and never gives a real answer for anything. AWFUL.

Very poor class. Even though I put in the time, I didn't learn much of anything. It seems like it's a very interesting course, but it's not at all. Professor Mullins will set you up for failure big time. He gives you something to study, and the test ends up being something completely different. Not recommended

The subject is interesting but this class is not.He does not know how to teach. Many people come in late(Almost 10 people everyday) and it's very distracting!We either just watch videos and do summaries or he rambles on while everyone else doses off.Does not stay up to date with the grades.Strongly suggest buying the book and teaching yourself.

So maybe he doesn't know how to teach oceanography in an interesting way but he at least is really easy about h/w assignments. And you can take the quizzes online as many times as you want.You watch lots of videos and powerpoints.Tests come directly from the quizzes.If you want an easy A or B take this class.

This man will make you want to skip or drop the class. He arrives in the morning, sips on his coffee all class period, mumbles the entire lecture, and laughs at his own pointless topics. Do not take his class, he never specifies the homework, and never helps his students. Waste of a class.

Professor Mullins is a great teacher... I took Oceanography with him... In class we watched alot of films, talked and took alot of notes.. Outside of class we did online quizzes (which you can do over and over to make 100's) and typed alot of summaries on the movies... We also read alot... I didn't do so well on the tests but still got an "A"

What a frustrating experience. I cannot emphasize enough: do NOT take ANY of his classes, EVER. He should not have a job. He's not helpful or insightful in any way. I didn't learn a thing in his class. He's rude to students (he cussed a girl out for leaving early). Oceanography may sound interesting, but Mullins managed to make it torture.

Be prepared for this class! On the second exam I had gotten the second highest grade, which was a 47!!!!!! The highest grade was a 52! The class average...38!!! You will get so frustrated with how he is. The class is so boring. by he end of the semester there were only 12 students left in the class. All I have to say is STAY AWAY!!!!!

Ok, this teacher is not good. He talks about things all the time that are not relevant to OCE and expects you to get good grades anyways! I turned in tons of stuff and never got any of it back, when I asked him about it he said well it's somewhere in my kitchen. He is just flat out a bad professor. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS!!!
