The Doc knows his stuff. Has projects going on his own and finds some great reference material that he shares with the class. In a way it taught me that any information you need is available on the web. Opens a lot of doors.

Dr. Najarian does not care about what he teaches. He has no organization whatsoever. Assigns homework assignments with over sixty problems and his quizzes are multiple choice on BlackBoard. Gives you choices a-i and expects you to know what to do even though he never taught it. Expects you to teach yourself. Always late. Worst professor in CS.

Gives out test without out covering the entire chapter, the class did not even get to half the chapter and basically he told us to teach ourselves. Does not teach well.

You never get anything back and the lectures are super long and boring. You get HW after each chapter of the book. The quizzes can be confusing, but sometimes the questions are from the textbook. You need the textbook to do the HW and if you actually want to read the really boring chapters

Be warned that his quizes are REALLYYYYyyyyyy hard, even tho he says they are EASY, that is a complete MYTH, make sure you are prepared for his impossible quizes... They are NOT related to the homework, so don't expect to do well if you only do all the homework which do take a really long time to complete which is like over a week.

He makes his quizes EXTREMELY HARD, even tho he specifically says he makes "no puzzle quizes" thats the only thing that really gets to me and boils my blood, you NEED to know the material VERY well to do good on his quizes, most of his assignments takes a few weeks to complete (YES THEY ARE REALLY LONG) he is cool tho, just wayyy too much work

...Looney Tunes... Anyway, he prepares for class, DURING class. The amount of homework he gives is ridiculous. "Do all non-blue problems". At least a damn good book was used for this course so that I could teach myself. How did he get a PhD and a teaching job is beyond me. His powerpoints come from other profs in other universities like UMBC.

WHAT A JOKE. The guy comes 20-30 minutes late every class. Does not hand back any corrected papers until the last week of class. But he is a very nice guy. But as a professor, do not expect to learn anything, you have to learn on your own. And if you do ask him for help, 9 times out of 10 he will fall asleep on you, literally!!!!!

His class is a joke. He comes late every day. His idea of a class is say one/two things, then have us cut/copy/paste answers from the book homework/quizzes. If the alternative for OS didnt suck too, I'd drop this for sure. This space case rambles all the time. Nice guy, but he shouldn't be a professor. Waste of time/money but req. course.
