Professor Nicholson became my all time favorite professor at cuse. He's not an easy professor to have, but he only pushes you as far and he knows you can go and is there to help you every step of the way. Whether you need help with his class, your career path, or even something happening in your life not even related to BDJ he is there. BEST EVER!

Easily my favorite professor at Syracuse. He opened my eyes to more than just broadcast-journalism. I learned to be a complete journalist, and I've greatly benefited from being well-rounded.

Honestly, John Nicholson is the greatest professor I have ever had..and slightly edges Dr. Doug Quin in this department. He is more than just a professor/instructor who is a mentor to me. His decades of experience have shown in how he easily instills his wealth of knowledge in you. I could not recommend this great man anymore than what I can type.

One of the best professors I've had in Newhouse. He is very knowledgeable about what he teaches and is always willing to help students. He will always give you a chance to rewrite your assignments and will always help you at any time if you are stuck. I would definitely recommend taking a class with Nicholson. He is tough but you will learn ALOT.

Easily the best professor I have ever had. When you enter the class, he's intimidating, and he WILL hurt your feelings. You might cry. But at the end of the day there was never a moment that I didn't know that he was challenging me, not to make me feel bad, but to make me better. He's funny, intelligent, and GENUINE. Love him!

Absolutely Incredible. professor Nicholson is one of those teachers I had hoped for. Certainly challenging, and incredibly experienced, he defintly knows his stuff, and more importantly, knows what's important and what is just extra when it comes to journalism. Plus, he's hilarious in class. Intimidating at first, but you learn to love him.

Professor Nicholson is amazing. He's funny and interesting, but most importantly he really cares about his students and their progress. Nicholson's class isn't easy, but his style forces you to know your stuff and know it well to the point where it all comes naturally by the end of the course.

Nicholson is the best professor I've had since being in college. He's very demanding but he teaches you everything he knows. He's funny and makes class interesting, and he really gets to know you as a person. HIGHLY recommend Nicholson. He's great!
