Adeleke is an extremely nice man. He is an expert in his field of study. Yes, you have to show up for every class and attempt to pay attention, and he will expect you to read tons of literature. But, with this said, if you can speak up in class and try to enjoy yourself in learning about African American studies; its a pretty easy A.

Came across as an extremely prejudiced man. He warned in the 1st day that many dropped his class because the imagery was too horrific. After being in the class I wanted to tell him that's not why people were dropping!

I strongly reccommend avoiding this professor. He lost my blue book final, and failed me for it. He did the same to 3 others in the class. I fought it, and his answer to this is to let me "make up" the exam that I had already taken. The exam barely had any of the class topics on it, and was excessive on things we had not gone over.He doesnt care

The previous comments seemed absurd to me. Prof. Adeleke was my favorite professor. Just because he doesn't cater to whiny students who just expect to get an "A" in African American Studies doesn't mean he is not qualified. Those students' college educations are probably paid for by their parents.

I took an African American Studies class. He now teaches at Iowa State. He plays favorites and will fail you if you don't agree with him. You will learn nothing from him. He attempts to be scholarly and fails. What he teaches in class is not on the final. His lectures are exactly the same everyday. Never take any class with him. Advise anyone you k

Worst teacher I've ever had. Horrible grader, unprepared. If he wants to fail you he will. He wants you to stop by his office and send him emails but he's never in his office and doesn't respond to his email. One of the worst people I've ever met in my life.
