He is a very interesting professor and is very helpful. There is daily homework, but it is basically just a review of the lecture so if you go and take notes you can finish it very quickly. He is also super nice and his tests are very easy

Absolutely hands-down the best professor I've had at Lehigh. I actually really enjoyed his lectures as they were easy to follow and interesting (just make sure to take awesome notes). Tests were very fair and easy if you studied. I was so sad to hear he was retiring - he was awesome.

Nyby is by far the best bio professor I have had at Lehigh (although that's not saying much). He really knows what he is talking about and does not just read off of his slides. Off that note, make sure you take good notes, or you will not be able to understand his slides in your free time while studying. His tests weren't too bad either.

An actual professor that teaches, and doesn't read off his slides. Take good notes, record lectures if possible, and attend all classes and you will do great. A really good class, can be a bit dry sometimes.

I love Nyby. While he certainly doesn't come off as the warm and fuzzy type he is a great guy and puts in a lot of effort to teach his classes. In terms of pure teaching ability he is one of five best profs ive ever had. His powerpoints really make learning the material so much easier. I HIGHLY recommend his class to any bio major.

He's a nice guy. He's the first bio professor I've had who knew how to teach a course and not just read off of a powerpoint. His lectures were very clearly presented and detailed. Each lecture had a corresponding [easy] homework assignment, sometimes two. Tests weren't hard, they just covered a lot of material.
