Lots of homework and papers. Given it was a first year seminar, the class was very boring and Prof. Peterman didn't change that. However, he is a very easy grader when it comes to this class and will give you A's as long as you try and hand in assignments on time. He wants you to be aware of all the resources that are available on campus.

When I had him, he'd post assignments online the day BEFORE they were due. You better ask questions in this class because, not only does participation count ALOT, if you don't you will be lost. Also, I suggest getting some coffee before going into his class. About three cups ought to do the job.

This class was difficult to stay awake for, He doesnt write down any notes on the board and didnt have any oganization in his lecutres. all of the notes you write down come from his mouth. the final was difficult a. However before the day before the final he emailed a study guide. he also lost some of my assignments and lowered my grade for it.

He was alright. Alot of my classmates hated his class. He is really boring and just sort of babbles on about philosophers. I found it really hard to stay awake in his class. I thought philosophy would be kind of interesting, but boy was I wrong. His final exam was all essays and it was super hard. We used tons of little books like The Symposium.

Peterman is definitely one of the best professors at Willy P. Extremely intelligent, well-read, and interested in his students' ideas. He really likes Socrates. Distinctive voice, too.

I LOVE Professor Peterman! He actually makes you think in depth about what you are reading and the discussions we have in class. You get papers every week but they are only one page and its mostly based on your own thoughts. He is really understanding and tries to help you if he can. He helped me through a tough time in my life and I'm grateful!

Peterman loves to talk, and talk, and talk, and talk. He likes his subject and is definitely a philosopher. He is really nice. If you mess up on something and don't do well, he will let you redo it. You just need to be able to tolerate him talking non stop and sometimes keeping you past the ending time of class.

Nice but odd guy. The weekly response papers help your grade and are easy, just make a compelling argument or an show an interesting perspective. Class is boring though and don't really need to pay attention too hard to pass. Bring something to keep you occupied

Very eccentric man. He's funny, though, in an I'm-not-sure-if-he's-trying-to-be-funny way at first. He's knowledgeable about the university. He asks strange questions sometimes, though.

I had him for first year seminar.. he knows the university, and he is very helpful on how to become a college student. however, he would get off topic very easily, and I even treated the class as a therapy session, because it was not an "actual" class. overall, I would recommend him as a professor, because he is very nice and understanding.

Peterman is one of my favorite professors. He is a very good lecturer but his lessons can sometimes get dry. He is a fair grader with any decent work getting a B. He usually gives 1 paper per week and they are usually very easy. His midterm and final are tough but it you study you'll pass.

Pretty cool teacher. Talks the entire period and can get a little boring but in general allows you to have your own views of things as long as you can explain how you came up with it. The papers are short but the final is long but not hard. Just tedious. In general, a good teacher.

Not the most organized person on the planet and talks for long periods of time trying to explain a concept but he tries to get you to think in a different light. He gives work almost every class and collects it but dont expect to see it for months. Homework matters and tries to keep you on top of it and his papers & exams aren't bad. Good Class
