Dr. P is a true gem, and I am so lucky to have taken his class. If you can take any of his classes--go for it. Yes, they are going to be difficult, but you will feel so accomplished once finished. He is a hard grader, but reasonable as well. He gives excellent, engaging, amusing lectures that you won't want to miss. Overall--highly reccommend!

Great professor. Lectures are entertaining and he makes stats fun. Examples are very similar to tests. If you show up to lectures and do the practice problems you will pass. Very willing to help if struggling.

There are sections in this class instead of weeks. It's a lot of work if you wait till the last minute to complete the sections. So, start early. He asks for a "final exam" paper at the end of the semester. He says it doesn't have to be 20 pages. But you'll get a low grade if it's not. No matter how hard you work on it. There is no extra credit.

Professor Petraitis is amazing! The material is tough but he makes lectures as interesting as possible. He has a goofy sense of humor and tries to show us how we can use statistics in the real world. He also posts all lectures online too which was nice to go back and listen to again or helpful if you miss a class. I highly recommend this teacher!

Dr. Petraitis helps cement why you chose Psychology as a major. Wish I had opportunity to take more classes from him. Lectures are dynamic, workload is fair, grading feedback is phenomenal. Finished that class knowing a ton more about the lifespan of Psych as a discipline. Feel far more competent to respond to questions about the discipline.

Johns lectures are very interesting, and make you really get in to it while your in class! But once you get home, READ THE TEXTBOOK. His lectures cover maybe 60% of what is on the tests, and they are not just common sense! You definitely need to work hard. He also curved the final grades up 4%.

His stats class he tried to make as easy as possible. I makes you buy the power points from the bookstore and use them all through the semester. Tests were open book open note, so take a lot of notes! The material is hard, but he tries to work with you to make it easy.

Professor Petraitis is very intriguing and I enjoyed his lectures. I learned a lot and the activities were actually effective in "getting" the material. The quizzes are open book which is nice, but don't underestimate the actual tests. Luckily, Petraitis allows you to retake one of the three tests. You definitely need the textbook.

I LOVED this class. Dr. P's energy and enthusiasm makes learning gen. psych amazing. There are online tests after every chapter, but they're open note and simple, and you were allowed 1 page of notes on exams. Show up to class and take notes on the lectures, and it's pretty easy. Great option for GERs! :)

Dr. Petraitis is a fantastic lecturer, he stays up to date with Blackboard, and is very willing to work with students. All of this being said, unless you are a psych major, I wouldn't recommend this course. I hate to say this, but his intro Psych course was very difficult, and if you are looking for an easy A, this class won't guarantee that.

Read the book and take notes in class and you'll do fine. He's helpful and teaches in a way that you will remember the material. He talks constantly about beer (and beer making), powerpoint, and skiing, also how much he loves social psych. The projects aren't too hard, but the tests can be tricky.

Had him for Stats for Psych & Social Psych. He is hilarious, makes the subject highly entertaining, and is generally awesome. Also did some research with him and a couple of other students. He's helpful, and super smart. Will sit & discuss ideas for research, etc., with you. Make sure to take good notes in class & you'll do fine.
