Is a socialist. Despises capitalism and emphasises that during his lectures. Way to opinionated. Decent teacher though. Very engaging. Would help if he would wear more than two shirts a semester and shower.

I took this prof 22 years ago, and I see little has changed. He was one of the best profs I every had, because he was passionate about what he was teaching. He made a dry subject entertaining.

You have to take his class just to get a different perspective on economics. He is one of the few economics profs who actually says something different and dares to question the cneoclassical view of things. Even if you like the Neoclassical view, you should take it to expand your mind a bit. Yeah it's hard, but what's worth doing that isn't?

Photiates is your classic anti-american greek. If you wanted to get him fired up and hear a classic photiates rant then say something about Bush and the whole class will be wasted with his obsurd diatribes. He is entertaining and pretty smart but like most liberals completly divorced from reality.
