Very nice guy. However, lectures were boring and uncertain for most part. Homework were a minimum. No quizzes, but 3 exams and a final. Study very hard in every exam and you will surely pass this class. Though, I recommend not taking him.

Cool and very nice guy. However, class was boring and slow. Lectures were bad and soft, so you pretty much have to study for yourself. Homework was a minimum. About an average of 14 problems. 3 Test and a Final. He curves all tests. No quizzes. Study super hard and you will pass his class. Otherwise, take another professor. Which I truly suggest!

He is nice and very smart, but very boring. he writes all over his boards so it is hard to keep track of what he is talking about. he tends to talk in circles and it is very hard to pay attention. he is quite old and needs to retire. I loved calculus coming into his class, but I left hating it. DO NOT TAKE!

He's a gentle and nice old man who looks out for the best of his students. Make sure you pay attention to his lectures and his homework problems as they are very simliar in nature on exams. Calculus is generally not an easy topic so do expect to study and practice math on your own time

Genuinely nice guy. I was able to get a good understanding of the concepts during lectures as he keeps things simple as possible. Tests, on the other hand, were pretty long and somewhat difficult. There were a few tricky questions on the tests but most of the questions were straightforward, just be ready for anything. Overall, great teacher.

Nicest guy ever! I failed the class, but it wasn't his fault. It's just hard and if you don't do the hw or study then you're going to fail. His lectures are clear and easy to understand, and he even threw jokes in here and there. He's genuinely interested in helping students and isn't strict on grading. Most of your grade is based on exams though.

He's a really nice guy, but honestly, he needs to retire soon. Class is boring and monotone. He literally copies all the examples from the book, so you don't even need to take down notes. Exams don't resemble any of the HW problems. Tries to help in office hours, but he didn't know the answers to any of the questions I had. Seems unqualified.

nice old guy.teaching is sufficient to understand but is almost like a repeat of the book.Test questions are mainly from his mind not the book so you are sitting there with a fresh question but with limited time to solve...Don't bother asking for study guides,he makes tests at last minute anyway.definitely will help to make sure you pass the class.

I got to say this guy try to help everyone pass. He's wiling to try to help you pass, he replaces lowest exam score if you score better on that section on the final exam. 250B is not an easy class when chapter 2 is over. He tries to make it simple for the class, but personally I think it is hard as hell.

Dr. Pierce is THEEE nicest Calc professor you will ever come across...along with Prof. Lewis lol. He will go out of his way to help his students pass the class and most importantly understand the material. He will purposely give students extra points on the exam BECAUSE it was so bad. I mean, Calc 2 is NOT easy. Seriously, take him!

Dr. Pierce is terrific! He went out of the way for me and I will never, never forget it. I hate Math, but Dr. Pierce bent over backwards in helping me complete Math 110 in the summer of 2008. Highly recommend.

this class is not really that bad. It can be boring because the teacher does wander out alot when he talks but make sure you attend to his office hours. very nice teacher. skips the hardest chapters of the course. lectures can be disorganized, but he is happy to help you with anything you dont understand. do the homework even though tests are based more on the in class notes. the class is hard, but this teacher is pretty easy. great guy. i really enjoyed his class.

Very nice teacher. Allowed us to make up one test on the final bc everyone did bad. Do the hw, he drops 4 though. Sometimes you can get lost, but he always stops to help, just ask. He made the class easy for me, I was expecting way worse. He gives your grades throughout the semester also. I would tell you to take him, dont fall behind though!

Biz Calc. is a hard class PERIOD. Class avg. GPA was 1.41 out of 31 students. He's a really nice teacher though. will def. help you if you ask him questions. You HAVE to do your HW. don't fall behind.

His lectures are not so clear but understandable. Notes are confusing. He knows too much about math and oftenly wonder out of space as he speaks. Leaving students lost. Gives the hardest way to solve a problem. Constantly looks at the board. Soft voice. However, he has much sympathy if you talk to him and will prob. go easy on grading your exams.

Very nice man! He's very easy to follow in class and is willing to stop and answer any questions you have. He's easy to reach and is very patient. This was my 3rd time taking this class, and I had the easiest time with this professor. Gives partial credit and collects HW. Do the HW! It's VERY helpful and reflects most of what's on the test.
