Professor Rashford is the most kind and wise professor at cofc. He genuinely loves what he does and cares about his students. I never got above a b- on tests but because i showed up to class and tried I ended with an A-. He is a true Gem, every professor should strive to be like Rashford.

I love the class except sometimes I get distracted of how similar he looks to Morgan Freeman. Like I go to class expecting a lecture, but instead I feel like I'm watching a movie in a theater.... had to withdraw because i couldn't get over his looks

I absolutely love Dr. Rashford. His personal stories and his passion for anthropology and plants is truly amazing. Although attendance doesn't affect your grade per se, he does watch who skips class and it does influence how lenient he is with grading tests. I would highly recommend.

This class is is the definition of boring. This a leture base class. You have to play close attention. He tries to write some of the notes of the board so that you can follow but his hand writing is HORRIBLE. He does review before every test. Attendance is not mandatory but he covers so much information in one dayt hat if you skip you will not pass

Dr. Rashford is the sweetest, funniest guy he cares about his students and is very passionate about Anthropology. It was sometimes a little difficult to hear/keep up with him in class, but his lectures are very interesting & he relates well to students. 3 exams, 2/3 are all multiple choice; the final is multiple choice& one essay. Take Dr. R!

I loved Rashford! He was a little boring at the beginning of the semester but it gets better. Your entire grade is 3 tests so make sure you prepare for all 3. I wish I had spent the whole semester recording his lectures because sometimes he speaks too fast to write it down. He's super nice at his office hours and super helpful when clarifying.

Really enjoyed Rashford. You have to come to class to pass. You can easily make an A if you pay attention, take notes, participate, and study the exam review. He doesn't try to trick you on exams. Only 3 exams about 70 -95 questions. The test aren't cumulative. Also, the 3rd exam is taken during your scheduled final time.

I LOVED Dr. Rashford! He was an excellent professor and really knew what he was talking about. However, if you aren't good with lecture-style classes, he's not for you. His lectures were long but interesting and he spoke relatively fast. Do read the articles, they are interesting and will ALWAYS be on the tests! I'd 100% take him again!

Rashford is a super interesting guy with lots of cool stories to tell. He's from Jamaica and has traveled all over the world which means he really knows what he's talking about in class. Be prepared though. We only had 3 grades including the final, if you bomb one youre in trouble. I never opened my textbook but maybe I would have got an A if i had

Nice guy, however contradicts himself often. The syllabus was not up to date and he kept changing his mind about what we should read. Tests are RIDICULOUSLY hard. No matter how much you study, you'll still do bad.

I absolutely love Professor Rashford! His lectures can be kinda dull but he gives all the information you need for the tests in class. Readings are pretty interesting and not super difficult. Really easy to talk to and genuinely a cool person. Look forward to class every time. Only 3 tests and no cumulative final!

He is such an insanely sweet and interesting man. Dr. Rashford is so passionate and makes you interested in the topics he is discussing. I never dreaded class, but also didn't want to miss one because his lectures are important. His tests can be a little difficult because sometimes he doesn't go too detailed into topics. Would highly recommend.

Dr. Rashford is very sensitive to anyone who contests him intellectually. He takes it as a threat. I also find him a bit pompous. It's probably just a defense mechanism, at least I hope it is. As a senior adult I have thoroughly enjoyed previous professors for the last 3.5 years, but not Dr. Rashford.

Dr. Rashford is a great person, but not the most clear and concise professor. This is not an easy elective/101 class. 3 exams only. Lectures were interesting but all over the place. Keeps track of attendance.
