Although he can lecture well his tests are very hard and was one of the worst teachers I have ever taken. He would expected you to know the smallest points of plastic bones on a test, I went to every class as well as took (good) notes and read the book I know a handful of people who did not get above a C in the class, would never recommend!!

Worst Teacher I have ever experienced, I made the deans list in college but the time I took him I did not, worst experience with him ever very harsh and the other professors are way more understanding than him. Do not take him if you are aiming to pass.

Took several classes with Mr. Ripper, he's one of the best professor's I've ever had in college. He makes you work for good grades, but it's worth it for a solid understanding of the material. Tests all come from the lecture, and if you miss his ppts are useless on their own. Also a great person to ask any questions about jobs/the field of biology

Hardest class I have taken to date, but at the end of it I feel I truly know the material. His lectures are engaging. If you have a question don't be afraid to ask, he gets as detailed about stuff as you ask him to. Labs are involved, but easily graded. His tests are harder than midterm/final, study the notes well and you'll be ok.

Mr. Ripper is very funny, but also very professional; class was never boring. All work is pretty much in class except for the rare assignment, which was a big plus for me. In lab, it's only necessary to do your best and you will get full credit. Most of grade comes from exams, which are easy provided you study your notes daily. Take good notes!

Let me start this by saying I'm a student that had never gotten below an "A" in a biology course throughout my entire tenure in college (over 9 courses) until this class. This professor is good and will make sure you learn, but expects a lot. If you want a fair chance at a grade that isn't going to sink your GPA and to still learn, look elsewhere.

He's very animated and has a sense of humor, and you can tell he really loves biology. He relates complicated subjects to things you can understand and relate to. Plenty of animations and other resources to help you study. Study and pay attention in class, ASK if you have questions! He is more than willing to help clarify!

My favorite instructor of all time! He is an intelligent and excellent teacher who is passionate about the subjects that he teaches. I took the class with a general interest in the subject and have a newly found love for sciences, specifically chemistry and biology. If you're a student who wants to learn, I highly recommend his courses.

Great professor. Don't take this class if you're hoping for an easy grade, but if you put the time in (expect to put a lot of time into studying!), and pay attention and ask for help when you need it, you'll do fine. Pay attention to assignment due dates and keep up to speed because he won't accept late work and it's hard to catch up.

PLEASE dont take him!!! He is a hard teacher. You wont pass his test unless ur as smart as him. He is a good teacher but his teaching styles is not a community college level. He used words that had a million letters in them.WHAT Mr.Ripper what does that mean? Hours of studying, mylab, connect, reading all the note wont get u far in this class

I took the internet class. His tests were not easy, but you do learn from him. As stated before, you have to put the time in to the class, but in the end, you really do learn from him. Very funny in lecture and lab. Really did enjoy his class.

I am a nursing student and i had Mr. Ripper before i went into the nursing program and he was a great help. I had to work hard for my grade and there were a lot people that dropped because they couldn't put the time into the class required to pass, but overall it was so worth it. I suggest all nursing students take him.

Great lecturer. Took him for the online/hybrid A&P 2 course and really learned a lot. It is a lot of work, but he really gives great examples and knows his stuff. Keep up with the work load, ask lots of questions, and you'll be okay!

He is one of the best teachers I have ever had. You must be willing to put forth the effort and time in his class though. Don't expect an easy A, that will never happen in his class. But you do learn a lot of information that sticks with you. Thus far, this has been my favorite class at BC3

I wouldn't take A&P with anyone else! He makes the midterm and final for all A&P classes so it's helpful if you're used to his exams. He's funny and really wants you to understand the material. I took him for both sections of A&P and recommend him to everyone but you do have to work for a good grade.
