Boring man. Grading is subjective and not fair. Boring assignments and there is always something due almost every class. Tests are hard, they're all 10 short answer essay questions. The final is cumulative and is 20 short answer essay questions. It blows. He takes attendance. Lame.

He is really annoying. Make sure you get a good group because you have to do 10 assignments with them. Doesn't respond well to students asking questions outside of class about the test, just says to look in your notes.

tests are short answer, doesn't always grade fairly bc they are short answer it depends on what he is thinking, hard to take notes in class, a lot of busy work 10 individual assignments & 10 mini group ones. dont take him if you can get someone else. tests aren't hard, but they arent easy. does tell you what will be on them, but can be very vague

This guy is terrible. He is constantly clearing his throat, which gets extremely annoying (63 time in a 45 min. class by one count) and he assigns huge amounts of pointless busy work that will have you annoyed by week #2. His tests are hard and his grading is very unforgiving. Take someone else if you can!!!

Schweitzer knows what he is talking about. As long as you read the readings, do your assignments, and pay attention you will be fine. Also, not skipping class and PARTICIPATION helps SO SO much with him. This subject can get a little boring, but Schweitzer tries to keep it as fun as possible with video clips and such.

I don't understand Schweitzer's sad face rating. Do the work, pay attention, and get an A! He's a sweet man and altough a bit dull at times, does have a good sense of humor is you pay attention to him. Make eye contact. Smile. Laugh at his jokes. Participate for christ sake! He knows his stuff and trys to make it fun. Don't sit there like a stump!

okay, schwietzey is really boring. com 220 tests were not that hard, but com 300 was insanely hard be ready to work your butt off. he is a crazy grader and especially on the final paper 15-20 pages. will knock you down a full letter grade for certain grammar errors.

Tests are tough, very boring, lots of busy work, assignments don't always make sense, even has errors on his syllabus which he will hold you accountable. Unless you like learning from a live book on tape, narrated by a guy who sounds like he has smoked 10 packs a day for 50 years, I suggest you take a different professor.

The class was pretty boring, but there's not much you can do about that. He tells you everything you need to know for the exams, but you do need to study. There is a lot of work but it is more time consuming that it is difficult. Go to class and study and you will be fine.

I was scared to death of this class because of the lit review and I got an A. He is NOT that bad and he always emailed me back with info and to calm me down if I had any questions. If you study the concepts the tests aren't bad. Helpful with the lit review and doesn't grade it as hard as he says he will.

He is a really great teacher. I'm a PR major, but I still really enjoyed this class. He knows EVERYTHING about advertising and tells lots of interesting stories. There is a lot of work for the class, but none of it is hard, I got 100's on all the tests you just have to pay attention and do the work. I'd take him again for another course.

Sometimes I think he died but forgot to fall down. The work is busywork 'cause he is not interested in the students or teaching. Just going through the motions like he has for years. Don't directly oppose him - he will turn sarcastic and try to publically shame you.

Busywork out the butt....class isn't hard as long as you do the work, usually gives you the test topics the class beforehand keyword usually but the 3rd test he threw in some stuff we didn't really talk about. We think he's loaded with money...he'll talk about his research agency.

OK, so its busywork and the tests can suck, but the class is NOT HARD. I didnt own the book and didnt know the test was essay until I got in, and still got a solid B in the class. He's not a terribly tough grader, and the questions on the exams are not any surprise, as he reviews beforehand.

One word: BUSYWORK. A minimum of two papers due each week, and he prefers you attend each lecture, although there is no guarantee that his lecture stuff will be on the exam. Exams are ALL ESSAY...ten essay questions each. He's a great person, but a not-so-great teacher.
