The only word I can use to describe this man is eccentric. I feel bad beacause he really seems interested in the subject, but about half the time at least 5 people would be absent from my 20 person class. He is a fairly easy grader, but I don't know that I really learned anything. Also, easy to convince him to extend deadlines.

If you have even a remote interest in Vietnam history and basic to moderate writing skills, earning at least a B+ with this guy shouldn't be outside the realm of possibility. While you do need to go to class (meets once a week) there is little to no discussion, just a screening of each film. Only two 12-14 page papers for the semester. That's it

Generally apathetic and uninterested. May or may not be intelligent, but doesn't care about your learning the material either way. One of the last profs. in the History department I would ever recommend if you are actually trying to learn anything.

Scott was a fantastic teacher. Although the lectures were a bit boring, he knows his stuff and is mad funny. He is also pretty much covered in tattoos which makes him even that much cooler. I was not a huge fan of history before, but his class made me a lot more interested. I highly recommend him!

Worst professor I've had at SU. There is no focus, direction or purpose of this course. If he thinks you are stupid or that your writing sucks, he will tell you so. Has no problem making you feel about 3 millimeters tall.
