One of the most lethargic beings I've ever seen, and also one of the best teachers. Posts assignments online before each test that give you up to 10 points extra credit with 2 tries. Also posts sample problems online with solutions before every test. The problems on the tests are the exact same as the review problems. Excellent teacher.

I'm normally an A student in math but I did not do well this semester. Nice man but does not explain the material well at all. You will have to read the book and teach yourself which is not easy to do. Homework is optional. Extra Credit available for each test. Only grades are: 4 tests, 4 quizzes, and the final. Would not take Dr. Sligar again.

He is the best professor I have ever gotten. He is monotoned so you may fall asleep a couple times. But he really helps and makes sure that everyone understands the concepts and he makes sure to really prepare us for the tests and quizzes. The study guides he give are basically the test just different numbers. He also gives extra credit.

I had Dr. Sligar for Pre-Calc, and he did an excellent job going through and explaining the concepts and answering any questions so that everything was completely clear. He also makes sure you know exactly what kinds of questions will be on quizzes/exams. If you pay attention in lectures and do the homework, you'll be great.

Sligar is the most monotoned man on the planet, but he makes some funny comments. Painful to sit through because his teaching method can be really hard to understand, he's pretty scattered. Drops a test and a quiz, attendance is optional, but you won't pass if you don't go. Offers 10 extra credit points on each test through MyMathLab. HW optional.

Dr. Sligar can be very monotone, but also extremely funny. I took pre-calc in high school so this class was a review. He gives up to 10 bonus points on every test. And he grades test very lightly (I solved problems wrong and I still got points for attempting). Easy A if pre-calc is a review, not as easy if you are learning it for the first time.

Dr. Sligar is brillant; however sometimes his teaching method is hard to understand. If you took pre-cal in high school you will be fine, but if you didn't I would not recommend him for pre-cal. It's mostly a teaching yourself class. He does however give 10 extra credit points on each test and drops the lowest grade.

Talks very slow and monotone. He cracks a lot of jokes, which is nice, but it is tough to pay attention in class with the way he teaches. I was so bored I could not even focus on what he was teaching. Make sure you practice the problems on MyMathLab because they are extra credit- so you probably would want to buy MyMathLab.

"Remember the ducks" -- the most important or valuable thing I learned in this class. His voice is monotone and I couldn't get through the lectures without caffeine. Sometimes I left his class feeling more dumb than when I went in. At least there's no homework or quizzes.

Dr. Sligar is a great professor. He jokes in class sometimes and is very monotone. However, other than that he do give you partial credit on quizzes and tests. He also offer extra credit points on your tests.I will suggest you take advance of every extra credit opportunity. He also give you a study guide that is very similar to the test or quiz.

Sligar, despite his monotone voice, never fails to teach any topic. In his PreCalc class, he not only explains the concept but shows applications of it. Homework is optional, and his quizzes/exams have a review very similar to them beforehand. He has a dry sense of humor, but his class was very enjoyable. Do the homework, pay attention, easy A.

This class was hard toward the end. It is easy in the beginning so make the highest grade you possibly can in the first few tests. His grading method makes it so you will defiantly pass with effort. Your highest grade counts the most. DO THE EXTRA CREDIT HOMEWORK. ALL OF IT. WORTH IT.

He is a very easy math teacher. He gives test study guides before each test along with bonus points on each test. Sample quizzes. He is monotone which can put you to sleep. At some points I did not understand what he was doing on the board, but the book helped. Attendance wasn't mandatory, but he passed around a sheet to sign in.o

Teaches a great class in Logic and Set. Fair grader and gives bonus problems on tests. He starts lecture when he gets to the classroom, not when the clock says it's time to, so get there a couple minutes early if possible! Very willing to answer questions and accommodate necessary absences.

Good guy with a quirky sense of humor. He knows his stuff and tends to go a little fast. Gives opportunities for 10 bonus points on all tests and is a moderate grader. Tends to be hard to sit through for more than an hour at a time (his voice is kinda mono-toned) but definitely reliable in terms of academic knowledge and solid teaching.

Sligar is a very difficult prof academically, esp. in multivariate calculus, which is difficult by itself anyways. However, he's willing to work with students to ensure they succeed. If you're a visual learner you'll do well -- he's a visual teacher.

I took him for college algebra and made A's on all his test. Very monotone so don't take him in the morning or you'll fall asleep. Taking him for pre calc!
