Textbook definition of what trump is talking about when he calls the media scavengers and roaches. Lies and rumors drip out of mouth like diarreah. Hes completely full of himself and seems to hate his job. He has publicly threatened to quit his job several times and banged his fist on the desk in anger during class. University finally let him go.

Told one his students they are going to hell and then when everyone looked at him he says "my daughter is gay". Can someone please explain how this professors unique choice in genital attraction makes it ok to curse people? i Don't understand. i guess all we can do is pray for this professors mental problems as well as his daughters

Told one of his students that they are going to hell and I believe that claiming to be able to make a decision like that and saying it to someone is unbelievably rude. Hopefully he earns God's forgiveness for his transgressions.

Although this professor is caring and a nice guy overall, he can be eccentric. This professor swore, tried to reveal private information based on gossip, banged his fist on the desk, and put a curse on one of his students. These things to me are a spectacular display of unprofessional behavior. This is a classroom not Jerry Springer or a bar.

This guy is a Nazi in the sane that he is aggressively/violently intolerant of political and religious views that are not in line with his own.

John Stifler is a one of a kind professor. He is a man of the world and his assignments reflect the complex economic issues of other countries. His class makes you think like a real economist while making analyses on real problems and developing solutions to them. If you come to his office hours prepare to be inspired. One of the best professors.

Awesome, genuine, caring guy. I still stay in touch. Challenging class, forces you to analyze complex issues and develop a conclusion. Stifler's lessons improved my writing immensely. Not an easy course, but one that will leave a lasting impression. Junior writing sucks and is tedious, but I left with a deep appreciation for his teaching. Take it

Very worldly and intelligent guy who makes great use of the small seminar format. The grade is based on attendanceparticipation and six 3-4 pg papers which he grades fairly easily. I would highly recommend, especially if you like reading and writing. You'll get an A and enjoy it, too

He is one of my favorite professors so far! He's super helpful and understanding and cares for his students. You need to work for your grade, but an A is possible. He's so sweet and encouraging and I would definitely recommend him!

Amazing professor. I learned more in his class than in almost any other class. I had ECON 397W and 397B with him and his courses really helped me revolutionize my writing style. I recommend him to all of my friends and though his courses have a lot of written assignments the payoff in the end is well worth the effort. My favorite teacher at UMASS

I went into Stifler's class thinking I wouldn't need it, that it would be a waste of time. To my surprise, the class was the most genuinely interesting course I had the pleasure of taking at UMass. Stifler is a generous and outstanding person. Anyone would do well to take this class, not just Economics majors. He will influence your education.

I took 2 classes with Stifler and I have to say he is hands down my favorite professor at Umass. He keeps class interesting, chooses great reading material, gives more feedback on ur papers than you can imagine, and shows genuine care for his students which is nearly nonexistent at Umass.

He's a great professor. Makes the class interesting. The work load isn't what I thought it would be for a writing class. Most assignments are short, only 3 long papers and if you do the assignments and go to class and show some sort of effort at least a B+ is attainable.

Stifler is by far one of the best teachers at UMass. As an Amherst graduate and professor at UMass for 25 years, he has the expirience and knowledge to keep his class involved every week! I had him for 397W & 397B and he made me want to do well! He is now the advisor for my honors thesis, and has been extremly helpful!

Absolutely the best professor I've ever had. The 397B course was vastly different from any econ class I've taken: it was more like an English or CompLit class in terms of structure and discussion. The 397W class was phenomenal. Attendance is mandatory, as is effort. You cannot coast through these classes, but you will enjoy the progress you make.
