I have had strefeler for about 4 courses now. The man is a doll. Really cares about his students and wants them to do well! His class can be dry but if you put in effort he will reward you.

He means well, but the class is horrible. He is very boring during lecture, does not explain homework assignments. He does try to let everyone know what will be on the tests but I would not recommend him, especially if you have never taken an accounting course before.

I really like Strefeler as a person, however that did not help him with teaching skills. Classes are very confusing and tests are tricky. If you enjoy teaching yourself you will like this class. If you go to his office for help he really does make an effort to help you. Doesn't put that effort in his class time though.

Homework every night. Lots of tests (4 and a final). He is really nice but he thinks that his class is the only one students have. He is friendly, but he lectures a couple minutes over every single day. You will never get out of this class early.

Didn't really give any lecture material, just goes over problems. Hard to study for tests because you have to look through the book and pick out what you think is important & have no notes to help narrow it down. I thought the class was very boring!

Very good teacher who really cares. But reading the book is a must. You have to take the initiative and teach yourself a lot of the material. If you can't make it in his class, then accounting is not your major.
