A great instructor. Difficult enough to force you to improve your writing. But not impossibly hard to get an A. Just go to class and put actual effort into the writing assignments. He keeps the class light-hearted and comfortable. Take him as much as you can in the J school.

I have since transferred to another school but I had John Temple two years ago and I still consider him the best professor I have ever had. He doesn't preach, he uses his real world experience to teach his classes. I consider everything he taught me valuable. If you enjoy journalism take him.

Temple's the man. Very personable guy you can get along with. At times, he just seems like one of the students with his teaching approach. He's not old, boring or washed-up. More importantly, he knows what he's doing.
