Exceptional professor and artist. Respected my ideas & assisted me w how i can reach my artistitic prowess and objectives. Cares deeply abt students. Laid-back atmosphere but must wrk hard out of class. Fun, nurturing and knows a great deal abt sculpture!!!! Super class.

Prof Gans is AWESOME! This was my first studio art class ever. ALOT of work in&out of class BUT I learned so much about the discipline of Sculpture & studio courses in general. Prepared me for future studios. Class was fun, laid-back; she is nurturing. She made me want to become a better artist & smile while doing my art. Respected my ideas&designs

absolutely your stereotypical art teacher. she's awesome though. i feel like a lot of kids came and went as the felt during class hours but at the same time we all came in outside of class at least once a week. don't bother with the readings. every criticism she ever made made my project all the better. will definitely take her again!

Lucy is a very nice person. but she has a weird sense of grading. She doesn't look at the quality of your work and gives away B+s to almost all students. Disappointed :(

Teacher gave me no guidance. My hard work and time put into the class wasn't accounted for. If you want a teacher that just throws out B+'s shes the one for you. However, if you want a teacher that really tries to see your talent and possibilities as an artist, I wouldn't take her class. Plus, she's never available.

All bark, no bite. Wears a stifling amount of perfume. Superfeminist, but most of us think it is just an excuse for her to complain a lot. She is too nice, and does not push her students to try very hard. I was very bored in this class.

About the most steriotypical women's studies teacher every. She's an artiiiist. She will remind you of that many times. Lots of sorostitutes take this class. There is not much interesting analysis going on, just a lot of sensationalism.
