Tisdale is so sassy that it comes off really mean. I was scared to even breath wrong in his class. He's very passionate about what he teaches and I think that's why he's so critical about his students and there work. It is very hard and his expectations of paper criteria change from day to day which makes it very hard to get an A in my option.

Dr. Tisdale teaches a class that is hard to excel (A-A+) in; however, he really cares about his students and seeing them do well. He is sassy and sarcastic, but it is always easy to tell that he is joking. He will make you earn your grade, but help will come if you ask. He truly cares about the success of his students in class and out.

Comment:

His grading on writing assignments can get super frustrating but hes more than willing to give out practice writing assignments if you ask. May tend to make you feel dumb sometimes about your mistakes but makes a huge point to let you know that he cares about your improvement. My most difficult class but my favorite teacher. 9/10 would recommend.

Tisdale is amazing. He's extremely good at what he does, and he loves students who put in the effort to succeed. If you need help, he'll help you every time. He also has hella connections in & outside of the department, so get on his good side & he'll hook you up with people! And you can stop by his office anytime and talk about whatever. Love him!

MEDIA WRITING. Easy prof. Can totally space out in class but have to show up for AP quizzes and writing assignments. He'll do the writing for you basically if you ask for help. Definitely take again.

Great professor, he is really funny and easy to listen to. Read the ny times for the news quizzes and the book for the tests. If it's in lecture its on the test. Definitely possible to do well. Really great class and guy!

Best teacher I've ever had. Learned more in his class than I did my whole college career combined. Difficult because he pushes you to succeed, dont make the same mistakes twice and study for style quizzes. My writing skills are 10x better than they ever were. Take this guy if you want to learn and be PREPARED for reporting or PR writing

Dr. Tisdale is an amazing professor for this class. He knows what he is talking about and will let you know what you are doing wrong. You write a paper every week and those papers add up to 70% of your final grade. But he really teaches the class well so that you succeed. Highly recommend if you are a journalism major

He grades very hard on writing assignments, but if you're a news-ed major you should take him! You really will feel well-prepared for Media II if you do. I'll admit, sometimes he pissed me off (he can be very defensive and does not take even mild criticism well) but I ended up really liking and respecting him. I would definitely take him again!

Love the guy, absolutely hilarious and acts tough but he actually really cares. Not an easy A but a pretty easy B. You'll learn a ton though so the grade isn't the main focused. Absolutely the one to take!

Class can be frustrating at times, but Tisdale is awesome once you get to know him and vice versa. He knows what he is talking about. If you are taking this as an elective than take someone else for an A, but if you plan on going on to media writing 2, take him becuase you will fell prepared.

He's very intimidating at first, but he warms up to you. He grades your writing very hard and you don't get to rewrite. He will help you with grammar problems and gives suggestions in class. Try not to make the same mistakes twice, he hates that. Overall, he is professor to take for this class.

I LOVE Tisdale. Sarcastic and acts mean and tough, but he's really not. Don't take him if you're easily upset, but you'll be missing out because he's awesome. I would be so lost in media 2 this semester if I hadn't taken his class.
