Comment:

Has to be at least one of the worst professor's I've had at Ferris. He lectures the entire time, no powerpoint, tries to stay with the book but you still get lost. This class could be a fun learning class and I dread it every Tues and Thurs. Get's upset w his students A LOT & makes students answers seem "stupid". 4 testsentire Grade. DO NOT TAKE

Will go down as the worst class I've taken in my college career. Awful class and even worse professor. I hope you are gladly earning your six figure salary without actually teaching your students anything. If you are taking this class I hope you have a background in business law because you're going to teach yourself. Great work Professor Vermeer!

Comment:

One of the hardest classes I have ever had to take. In order to pass this class you must pass 4 different parts. These parts are Vocab,HW,test, and essay test. If you fail any of those parts you fail the whole class. So pray you pass them all. HW/Test/Essay test suck super hard. Nice guy though.

I think that Professor Vermeer is a great Professor. He makes you work hard for your grade, but thats only preparing you for the real world. He helps you when you need help, and explains everything well while in class. Great Professor.

Never can stay on topic while lecturing. In order to pass the tests you will have to read the book thoroughly. Basically taught myself out of the book and the homework sucks. Very time consuming class.

I'm almost done with this class a& can honestly say that he is an amazing professor. He wants you to succeed but won't spoon-feed you. You have to read the chapters & the cases!! Essay questions on tests come right from the cases & he offers extra credit on the tests. Your only assignments are 4 tests. It's up to you if you succeed or not.

Great at his job! Hard class though makes you apply what you learn not just spit it back out. No homework assignments but very hard tests. There are only 4 tests and that is what he grades you on. If you can read the law book pay attention in class and spend more than just the night before studying you will pass.

Didn't enjoy this BLAW online class at all, unlike a previous experience. Prof. Vermeer has little flexibility, very rude if you do something out of "order" then tries to clean it up at end of the comment or be encouraging. Does provide EC opportunities, discussion and interaction very limited, test time too short for the length of some questions.

This professor is by far one of the greatest I've ever had. I was dreading this class, but it turned out to be my favorite that semester. He made the class fun and interesting, and as long as you attend class, pay attention, and follow his advice, you will do fine.

This guy is great! One of the best teachers I've had. Very helpful, allows a cheat sheet, gives practice tests, lots of extra credit. He does want us to show that we learned it but if you go to every class he made it easy. The guy that sat next to me missed over half the classes and then was upset that he did lousy. Duh!!!

HORRIBLE. His tests are AWFUL. Do not take him!!! He doesnt let you ask questions and is not helpful at all! I made a HUGE mistake by taking him!! I worked my butt off and he still gave me a horrible grade! impossible to pass!

Sheesh... I can read... at least he tried to bring in something to add to the text (because I read the text, I know that he didn't read the text though he did tell us to read it and did test on it.) Lots of extra credit. Easy grade if you show up for class. Great guy and very helpful if you ask.

Don't attend class, except for exam days. No attendance policy, so here's what your game plan should be: keep tabs on the schedule by watching Ferris Connect. Download the study guide for each exam, write your cheat sheet (1 page, both sides), show up on exam day, and ace the test. I've gotten over 90 on all my tests, and I've been to class twice.
