Comment:
If you get bored easily and find people who talk to themselves annoying avoid this class. Unfortunately he teaches majority all of GVPP classes so its hard to avoid him. He will go on long rants and repeats stories that have nothing to do with the class. After taking about 4 classes of his Ive heard the same story, the same test, the same projects

Professor Willis knows what he's talking about but unfortunately it comes across more like he wants you to know what he knows or you don't know anything. Oftentimes during lectures, student involvement leads to tangents that don't have to do with material, and he will cut you off, making discussion difficult. Easy class to take, just boring

Professor Willis is unique. Long tangents that have nothing to do with class but the few bits of information that is understood is golden if your GVPP major. He has information and knowledge that others simply couldn't possess. If you do your work and simply read there is no reason why you shouldn't get a A, he grades with what he's given

Comment:
Prof. Willis knows his materials very well. His problem is that he doesn't know how to transfer that knowledge to the student. His lectures are very dry, even if you know that material well. Avoid taking an afternoon class if possible as you will probably doze. He has two tests (combo of MC, SA, and ESS) and two large papers (with little guidance).

This professor is old, he is not hip to technology. His work is easy but it is boring and not exciting to learn. Overall, easy class to take but not interested

Maryland government was a great course and easy class. Had I attended more, I would have gotten an "A" instead of an "A-." Professor Willis is a effective and equitable teacher, I would recommend to all willing to take an intellectually challenging course.

He knows a lot about Maryland politics and the innerworkings of real politics. You must be in class to get a good grade. He likes to go off subject sometimes but gives great examples and stories. I really like him as a professor and try to register for as many classes as I can with him.

I could go on for hours about why this man should not be permitted to teach anyone! His incessant rambling about nothing, and his inability to keep to what is promised was beyond frustrating. From changing projects, to just making things up. Wouldn't recommend to ANYONE!

took for md govt..professor willis knows allot about Maryland but its hard to get information out of him because of his excessive rambling. if your not interested in his side bars you generally will not become one of his favorites, when he finally gets to giving the info there isnot enough time to study.. Very talkative..will not repeat.

Okay, the professor is a great guy - very intelligent. The class, however, is difficult to follow in that you will have trouble understanding the grading scale. Very laxed class but is held EVERY minute - no getting out early!!! You will learn, but getting an A will take extra reading and memorizing a LOT about Maryland!!!!
