Tests were take home and super easy. Easy to recieve an A. Work is extremely tedius though. I took ENG 102 and PRE-CALC and somehow this class took up all of my time. Lots of reading material so prepare to spend at least 1-2 hours a day studying.

AMAZING teacher. I'm studying to be a history teacher and he's pulled me aside and has given me lots of advice. I have learned so much from him about history in general. Even those of you who hate history will love him he's funny and the 2 hour class goes by in what feels like 10 minutes :)

When i first started this class I knew nothing about history and now I can surely say that I know more about John Adams than almost anyone else in my generation. Thanks Mr. Yurtinus. 2 things i didn't like. He isn't clear on what has to be done and when. He was behind in class because he cancels classes often. other than this i really enjoyed it.

As others have said, he assigns A LOT of work. But it's due at the end of the semester, so as long as you stay on top of it, it's completely worth the work load! (He's also got multiple choice take home exams. Easy!) He's an AMAZING teacher and makes the class interesting with his humor. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND MR. YURTINUS!!

Took this teacher a few years back...LOVED how many slide shows he had. It makes class very interesting and it is great that he had actually been all these places and taken the pics himself. I wasn't please with his communication of due dates and times a couple items. If you take him, be sure to make him tell you when things are due. Other than that he was pretty good...not great, but good.

Great guy; comes across as kind of a hardass, but he's actually really easy to get a long with. His description of historical events is very interesting and makes sense. Stick around for his slide shows, too; he's got some great shots (all his) from his travels in Europe. You will be pretty impressed with what he has to show. Great sense of humor.
