Get ready to read is an understatement. He wont teach you. Youre gonna have to read through a 1500+ page java book to understand what this clown is talking about. Theres a reason hes on probation, and its not because of something he did do but rather he cant do. Pack it up and brace yourself for failure, its not an option.

He begins the first lecture telling you that hes not going to be teaching you java but rather that hes going to teach you more advanced techniques in java. This is suppose to be an introduction to java class. His lectures have nothing to do with whats in his labs. His labs have nothing to do with his tests. 360 people passed last year. 1010

Apparently Humber College has Mr Baker as their only faculty to teach JAVA to it's students. Mr Baker doesn't teach properly therefore students flounder with his courses in school. Labs are not descriptive, requires a lot of concentration to comprehend what he really wants. If anyone really want to learn JAVA then better you teach yourself. Gdluck!

Will always go on his own pace, most of the time speaking about non sense which no body wants to talk about and making the class 10x times harder than it actually is. No matter how hard i try , i cant follow him or keep up with him. You can expect more from a book than from him.

honestly me giving this clown 1's is really generous. he has no leniency with assignments. I basically had to learn JAVA all by myself. reading the textbook is key, but his programs are 10x harder than the textbook... I am regretting having this dude for 4th, 5th and 6th semester, good luck to all of you that may have him May the force be with you!

This guy is awesome. Never use books, knows everything whatever he teaches and simply admits if he doesn't know anything. Extremely helpful if u r ready for cross-questening. Its hard to get answer from him because he knows tht u knw the answer but u r just not getting thr, so he throws a bunch of relative questions on u

He seems a little crazy, but in a semi-humourous way. He keeps classnotes updated on his website with test questions; I love teachers that do this! Easy for studying. Interesting conversationalist if you get him off topic too.

Well i passed so he wasn't that bad. Just do his assignments and you will be fine. Only about half his lecture is important but go to class. Don't ask him questions cuz it will just confuss u.

Someday, in the far future, someone will set a standard for college profs, and will weed out people like Mr Baker. He couldn't tell the "heads from the tails" on a coin and i'm being generous. Amazingly enough he manages to tie his sholaces and show up to college each day. Oh, and he likes red pen, and if you want good grades, do NOT correct him.
