Good professor, but he can stumble over details in examples. Don't be afraid to ask questions about what you don't understand. He wants you to pass this class. He gives you the test questions ahead of time (without numbers) to make sure you can prepare for the exam adequately.

I think a lot of people don't try hard enough in a Zachar class. He doesn't spoon feed you the answers; you need to work to understand codes and requirements, just like a practicing engineer. I found his lectures and examples to be very straightforward and well thought out, and I learn a lot from him. I would recommend taking him.

he wasnt that bad to talk to, but he is way too nit picky. like if you didnt enter in one cell right in an excel spreadsheet you create, there goes half of your grade. Also doesn't really teach, plugs a students lap top in and has him do the stuff. Not to mention he gets lost half the time in his own problem. watch out for that notebook also.

He may know what he's talking about, but he Sucks at teaching it. Instead of laying things out, he tries to let the class solve the problem first leaving everyone wrong and confussed, and then sometimes he doesn't even know how to solve it in the end.
