What a great teacher. He explains everything very well. He works out of the book. Make sure to do the homework early. He does not accept late homework online. You also won't get extra credit if they are not done.

I have taken Hernandez for Spanish 1 and 3, by far one of the best professors I have had. He is super chill and wants everyone to pass. He gives so much extra credit on his exams and that could save your exam grade if you didnt study much. The online homework can get tiring but youll get through it.

Good teacher who is really passionate about Spanish but the homework is the worst part. its all done online and you NEED to buy a new book in order to have access to it. The homework is the most frustrating thing in the world. Get ready to try the same problem 100 times and then realize you just forgot to put a period or to capitalize a word.

I took Mr. Hernandez's class Spring 2017 and he was a pretty good teacher. He made his lectures the least boring as possible and really cared about the stuff he was teaching. He did give a bit of hw and his tests were somewhere between fair and tough. Highly recommended!

Mr. Hernandez is a great professor. He actually teaches and answers any questions without making you feel dumb. He's also very understanding as long as you communicate with him if there's a personal problem going on. Gives study guides very much like the test so you wont feel blindsided. He cares a lot about his job and his students.

I took this class as a mktg elective. He is really passionate about the subject and often talks about relevant topics/events. His course is really helpful for anyone who is interested in working internationally. His exams and final is tough, but if you prepare will on the major topics (which he mentions in class), you should be fine.

He was okay. He loves talking about the Spanish culture. He's annoying because he keeps you the full 2 1/2 hours and always calls on you nonstop. Although, he does give A LOT of extra credit and he reviews very well b4 the tests. Overall, he's good and very sweet, it is just that the class lags on.

Professor Hernandez was amazing! I took him during summer and I was so sad when class ended. I literally looked forward to coming to class 4 days a week. l I contemplated quitting my job just so I could take his spanish 2 class. I would definitely recommend this class to everyone!

This class was one of the best classes I've taken in college! Professor Hernandez is one of the best!! He's very understanding and he goes over the material! You do need the textbooks and gives you study guides about the reading! This class is an easy A if you do all of the work and pass the tests. He gives you a lot of extra credit as well!

Mr. Hernandez is incredibly helpful, kind, and overall a joy to take from. Among my favorite professors at LAHC. His courses are educational and involved, but not difficult. Expect a lot of fairly easy online homework, an oral or video presentation (your choice) and many tests that are reviewed in class beforehand. Highly recommended.

Great teacher. I didn't take Spanish 1 or 2 but I asked if I can take the class he said yes. Lectures in both English and Spanish very helpful. He gives study guides before tests and reviews. Tests are a little hard but if you get the homework it should be easy. Gives extra credit on tests. If you really try you can get an A.

Took Spanish 1 during summer and very pleased. I'm not a naïve speaker but still got an A. Gives extra credit on exams only but wont be counted unless you finish all homework assignments online. Excellent teacher. Expect homework every week online at least 30 assignments but small about 10 questions each. Definitely would take again.

I've knew zero Spanish coming in to this class. He's very passionate about Spanish and will answer any questions you have, but will ramble a lot about non-related things for like 40 minutes at the beginning of each class. His grading criteria is SUPER clear and will keep you posted. You need to study a lot out of class to keep up here. He's good.

Professor Hernandez is one of my favorite professors at LAHC. He really cares about your success in his class. He gives you study questions regarding the readings, poems, and short stories. Mr. Hernandez is awesome. I am not a native speaker, but his teaching methods are very helpful to the students. No cellphone use allowed in his class! otherwise he will call you out and possibly make you leave for disrespecting him. He is professional and makes himself available for students who need help.
