Simply the best. He is among the best teachers I ever had. He is the reason I went to Troy and became a teacher. No other teacher could give one the experiences he did.

I had him back in the 70s. A lot of hard, but fun, work for band. A good politician and "plays the game" well; likes to self-promote quite a lot (see TWO buildings on campus with his name on them). Has an honorary doctorate but uses the title (read "bogus"). Pretty innocuous but a bit egotistic - nice enough guy but a wee bit full of baloney.
