Carver makes this class very interesting! I never wanted to fall asleep during this 8am class, he definitely keeps you awake with his enthusiasm! Only downside to this class is that he is kinda a tough grader (tests are hard and the packets are a lot of work). But i loved this class!

I hate history, but Dr. Carver makes it interesting. Although tests are not easy, you can make up for them w/ reading packets. One of the most approachable teachers I've ever met. Knew I was going to like him when the first thing he said was, "We're not going to use the textbook for this course b/c textbooks are boring!" Definitely take him!!

On of the best teachers i've ever had. He explains everything so well he makes you want to come to class. I'm waiting till spring to take Western Civ. II just so i can have him as a teacher!!!

Awesome prof!!! If you have to take a history class, you want Carver. His reading packets sound like a lot of work but they arent and he gives you a glass with your name carved in it at the end of the course

Had him in high school for Modern World History and Russian History, and at ONU for WCiv II. Quite simply the best teacher I HAVE EVER HAD. He will captivate you for 2 hours, gives great notes, does not use the HORRIBLE WCiv text book, I could go on. Makes history fun and interesting ... TAKE HIM NOW !!

He is awesome because he expalins things very well and gives you a clear and concise understanding of Cold War, etc. I had him for West. Civ. I and II and he is awesome. His favorite saying, "Are you with me?" I was with him b/c he was awesome!!

Does not like to use the book, so don't even buy it. Tests are nothing but short answer/essay. Assignments are boring, and he takes points off if you miss ONE detail. Probably would have done better if I would have used a book.
