Im confused by some of the more negative reviews. Ive only had a handful of professors that genuinely care about their students and he is one of them. He is such a kind guy. He loves his subject and it shows. One of the best Honors add ons Ive had. Highly recommended

Comment:

He talks 1 million mph so taking notes is nearly impossible. Lecture heavy, but told us what he says really doesn't matter for any test, just the book and study guides matter. He does no grading at all, the computer does it for him. Weekly map quiz. He gives a tough research paper that he has someone else grade so you can't speak to him about it.

Very dedicated professor. He knows what he is talking about. Classes were long but expected for a summer class. Go to class and participate and you will do good.

Comer's meteorology class lacks basic teaching fundamentals, slides have unclear objectives and seems to blend together, his lectures always go to the end of class and he leaves off in the middle of the subject, He lacks the communication skills, rely on Emails to avoid actual social interaction with his students. No idea how he received a Phd.

Geographical Analysis is required for graduate geography students, but it's fortunate that Dr. Comer teaches this class. He's a high-caliber, old-fashioned lecturer who is excited by challenges & spurs on student interest. The homework is a workout but helpful. He gives thorough feedback & takes each student seriously. A little aloof out of class.

His classes are very intellectually stimulating, making you think about world events, and how they affec macroeconomics and microeconomics. Practical person, with a very easy-going attitude, but can be strict when he wants to. Wish him luck in the future too.

Dr. Comer is a really great, fun teacher. He is actually a human, unlike others. Very relatable and able to communicate the topic. A real role model for anyone wanting to become a professor. Funny too!!

He's instruction is unclear. furthermore, he lacks some high school-level fundamentals in geometry and mathematics (although he was awarded a so-called PhD) and makes funny mistakes in class as well as in office hours. Not qualified to be a professor.

When ever he's in in office, he acts like its a burden for him to answer questions that he ask you to answer.Should be doing research, not teaching a class. Poor scheduling for an advisor. Do not take this class if you do not have to!!!!!

The best teacher in the department. His classes are a bit tought, but he makes them bearable. He's sarcastic and young. Always provides a laugh during class.
