Finchum is a pretty enjoyable teacher. He's not hard, and he has helpful test reviews before every test so you know exactly what to study. You have to write a couple of papers and some movie reviews, but there isn't any day-to-day homework. The class is lecture-heavy, but it's mostly pretty interesting. He has some interesting stories too.

My second class with him and both were easy to pass the tests. Had multiple choice tests in both. There were some questions out of the book and you have to watch the lectures more than once or take notes on absolutely everything he says because some test questions were mentioned only once. Power point projects are time consuming, but not hard.

Tests are fairly easy as long as you know the basics of each topic (he gives you an exam review sheet). Your 2 papers are on any topic you choose within urban geography and he grades generously. As a person he is funny, loves his sports and genuinely a nice bloke. Definitely recommend.

Cool guy. Will make fun of you the entire class but enjoys you throwing it back at him. Goes off on tangents a lot, but knows his stuff. If you like profs that have a personality and don't just read off a slide, I'd recommend Finchy.

Horrible teacher. BUT...his tests are very simple if you study and practice essay topics. He gives a short review for tests and takes ALL of his tests questions from there. Three tests and two papers...he grades essays very easy and will give you full points if you throw in all of the basic knowledge.

The class is incredibly simple. All he does is explain the very rudimentary basics of World Regional Geography. If you know that China is crowded and in Asia and half is mountainous, then you shouldn't have to devote more than 5 hours to this class. The teacher, however, is crass, petty and rude. Hates the men, thinks he's god, and loves sports.

Took this class as an ellective. This class was supposed to be an "ease A", absolutely was not! Tests are worth 300 total points. 10 multiple choice questions that are worth 12 points each (ridiculous, ruined my semester grade on the first test!). The other 189 points are from easy essay questions. Avoid this class at all cost, trust me.
