Dig. Media Audio. Great teacher. class if 4 projects and fill in the blank final. The projects are pretty easy, just require some time. Grading is fair. The test is fill in the blank and kinda hard. His lectures are very dry and boring if you're not interested. he knows his stuff though. great professor.

Comment:

One of the best! I've had him twice, and if it were possible, I'd take him for every course. He's fastidious, but you learn a lot! Take him if you don't want to waste your time or money and really want to take something away from a course. However, be forewarned, the audio assignments take HOURS (I spent roughly 12 on the second one) to complete.

Third time i have him. Good lecterur. Excellent helpfulness. Assignments are not clearly defined, so ask him about them and he'll gladly explain. Exams a bit difficult. Make sure if choosing to turning in assignment before due date, to give it to him! not put in his mailbox. Overall, would recommend him if you want to learn alot!

Way too picky and doesn't allow the use of any help from an outside source when you have coding problems. Isn't clear on what he wants in an assignment as his requirements change for each class. Doesn't show most of the code we need and expects us to figure it out ourselves. Way too picky and with grading. Avoid if you want a fair teacher.

The first couple months of the class is BORING but once you start doing projects ITS A BLAST especially the last 2. You should probably pay attention during the first half of class which is lecture cause it will come back to bite you on the final if you didn't. I didn't read the book much in class but KEEP IT for future reference if u like audio

his lecture style is a bit dry, if you dont know a thing about recording audio you will struggle. the final review didnt hardly cover what was on the exam. he is very willing to help during office hours.

What a pain this class was. It's not the way Jon teaches it, because he does it better than anyone could, but the fact that your grade will likely rely on someone that will only go to one class in the entire semester makes you feel pretty helpless.

I went into this class knowing a lot about music, but almost nothing about audio. There are 4 projects of progressive difficulty and a final. The projects take a LOT of time, as they involve scriptwriting, recording, editing, mixing, etc. The final wasn't too bad, just study the lecture notes and listen to what he emphasizes. Very helpful prof!

Awesome teacher. He's really laid-back, and speaks very clearly. He really knows what he's talking about and explains stuff very well. I already knew a lot about digital media and making web sites before going into this course, but I learned a lot more from him.

Jon is awesome. He teaches and explains everything very clearly and walks you into everything very well. If there is something you don't understand, he is more than willing to help. What's cool about Jon is that he's confident when he speaks. He knows his stuff and knows how hard it is to perform a task.

Very good teacher, will do whatever it takes to help you pass the class if you're trying. Assignments were clear and easy, and offered enough extra credit to make up for anything missed or poorly done. Don't bother with the book, it's useless, but he'll tell you that anyways. Definitely recommend!

Can't agree more with the person below. Although I wish I had read that advice sooner. The book reads like a dictionary and is not something I would keep. The material is somewhat dense but you'll actually learn something if you are not familar with HTML. He is very helpful and responses quickly to email.

Good teacher, the only issue is there is so much material to study before each test, but the tests arent hard. Also homework is a big part of the grade so if you do your homework, you dont have to do wonderful on the tests
