She welcomes questions and offers plenty of office hours for one on one help. She makes jokes during class and offers extra credit. Lectures can be a bit dry, but overall a good class and a nice lady.

BY NO MEANS WAS THIS AN EASY CLASS! However, Dr Meyer is one of the most helpful professors Rutgers has to offer. Not only is she smart but she will go out of her way to help you if you just ask. I loved her classes and would definately take any classes that she teaches.

A bit quirky and not sure about how she calculates grades. Feel I should have a higher grade. Responsive to students. Could be a litte clearer about what is expected but will clarify if you just ask. Fair and good overall I would say. Reading, citations & participation a must. Her humor sits well with some, but she is not everyone's cup of tea.

Since the time I transferred to Rutgers,to the day I was accepted to Law School, Dr.Meyer was there to help in anyway she could. She is an amazing educator and a great mentor. If your lucky enough to get to know her (in class or not)she will only improve your experience.Rutgers University is a better place for people like her! Thanks Dr. Meyer :)

Great helpful prof. I had jumped into this class before taking methods so it was even harder for me. The material is rather dry but she does a good job "spicing" it up. Lots of powerpoints and short tests..her midterm and final is rather hard but she does to extra credit. Not an easy course but rather interesting taking it with her.

Excellent prof., has much to offer to students. DO NOT EXPECT THIS TO BE AN EASY COURSE!!- work hard, complete readings, assignments & contribute regularly & you'll do well. DO NOT cheat or short-cut assign., it will hurt you GREATLY!! Truly an interesting woman who wants to enrich students. Do not listen to negative comments!

this class isnt that bad. her tests are hard and the material is a bit dry, but she tries to make it easier to learn. I don't see how her homeworks are annoying, since thats what she tests on. Always willing to help her students out. A very understanding woman, even if she is a bit 'by the book'

Definitely not an easy A. Expects students to read, study, and participate -- gee, isn't that what you're paying all this money for. Was always willing to help clarify anything, puts in a lot of extra hours with students.

Pretty much a horrible teacher in my eyes. For being the head of the Cj department im rather disapointed. Also upset with Rutgers due to the fact she is the only one that teaches this class and its a requirement for cj majors is also disturbing. Tests sucks, her annoying book ?'s are retarted, and she teaches us like kids.

I've defended this prof. before but I can no longer. The elementary teaching style (school that is)is confusing to say the least. If you only have one or two classes a semester than you can make it through with maybe a "B". The busy work and sometimes psychotic antics in class will leave you wanting to skip. Prof. is more interested in fostering he

This teacher was possibly the worst teacher I ever had at Rutgers. Gives retarted busy work, relies on powerpoint, wierd grading system, acts like the students are in 2nd grade, and last think she is the citing police!! PLAYS HUGE FAVS, they need to hire someone new....

She is one of the best teachers I have ever had and a personal friend for 5 years now. Those who she has caught cheating deserved what they got, those who do their work and do not expect to breeze through like the class is nothing will find her teaching style very rewarding. When it comes to a Meyer class you have to be ready to be interested and do your work. Lazy cheaters on the other hand better be ready to be derservingly assaulted.

For being head of the CJ dept., I'm extremely dissappointed. She stresses more about citations than the material which should be taught. Like others have said, she tried to expell more than half the class and lowered just about everyone's final grade for improper citations! My overall gpa is a 3.8 her class is my only C, and her class was a joke

She was the worst professor I have ever had. Was insulting to students whether they were in class or not there. Humor was corny I felt like I was in a 5th grade classroom. Was unclear of what material was supposed to be studied. Tests were hard because she expected you to memorize the numerous readings.

Very dissappointed in this prof, treats the class like it is her own personal experiment. Not clear on assigments or expectations. Would not recommend. She clearly needs to get out more.
