Would definitely take a class with him again! He is very good at responding to emails, and answers any questions you may have. His online quizzes consisted of a quiz a chapter, and he gave us the textbook company's powerpoints. You need the book if you want higher than a 710 on each quiz. Super nice and even has a funny side!

Great guy, class is just presentations all year but you get points taken away for not going, sooo much extra credit is given though out the semester that it is your own fault if you don't get an A, quizzes are weekly online and are not that difficult if you skim over the assigned chapter

Dr. Smith is the most helpful and professional professor I have had during my undergraduate degree at IUP. You teach yourself by reading the book on your own time but it's easy stuff. He's all about cutting you a break if you mess up down the road. Energetic which may bug you if you come in at 8 am but it's not that bad. Rambles about his personal life too much but he's otherwise a good professor.

absolutely loves talking about himself. He spends more time talking about himself rather than teaching the curriculum, and then tells you to just read the book. You'll be teaching yourself out of the book and it's not that easy. Thought it would be an easy class, but with his teaching it's not. Not recommended.

Submitting this as a 30 yr/old Ph.D student at WVU. Completed my bachelors at IUP in 2006, and realized in professional/adult life that Dr. Smith's HPED seminar was THE MOST helpful class that i attended at IUP. You'll work your butt off, but thank Dr. Smith later..What you learn in SEMINAR will only help you in your career search/interview skills.

He is the nicest professor in the world! Show up to class and try your best and you'll get an A. No homework assignments, only two tests throughtout the semester. There is an endurance test and he grades you on ten swimming strokes at the end of the semester. Loved him!

This was the worst class i have ever taken. I had it at 8am and i wanted to die. He is like richard simmons on major drugs. i would advise taking another proffesor. I got an easy A in the class, but it was not worth seeing him 3 days a week. Many other Health and Wellness teachers are just as easy and you will get along with them much better trust.

Can't say anything real bad about him. Constantly makes himself available to students and his class is easy. You can't make this subject too interesting, so i have to give him credit. He's a nice guy, but prepare to be annoyed by him daily. You'll leave rolling your eyes at him some days. Go to class, make half an effort and u'll get a good grade

had him for aquatics facility management. this class was pretty easy, nothing too demanding. had weekly quizzes and did take attendance. not a hard class if u go. does a lot to help students....sometimes gets off track and same stories get told over and over
