He has no clear grading requirements. He also required us to go to tons of mandatory events outside of class time. He never has a clear lesson plan so people mostly just sit on their laptops their whole time. He is a nice man but the way this class was structured was terrible. He allowed the students to take over control of the class.

JBK is one of the greatest teachers I have ever had, not just in college but in my entire academic life thus far. He cares more about his subjects and students than most educators. He is warm, funny, and undeniably devoted. Show commitment in his classes and seek him out during office hours. He is always happy to help and you will do well that way

I took this class because I heard JBK was an awesome professor. I'm not sure if it's that he's busy with other things this sem, but this is easily one of the worst classes I've ever been in. We've watched a total of NINE full length movies DURING CLASS periods, our midterm was a joke, he's late with returning assignments, and the list goes on.

Great professor... sometimes hard to understand- but very willing to explain more. He works with students to engage them in talks during classes. Attendance is not actually mandatory, but he does get upset if you don't show up. One of my favorite professors ever!

GREAT PROFESSOR. He's really funny and brilliant, loves what he does and actually tries to get along with his students. Be warned of tangents. Always was available outside of class, either in office hours or on Skype to help students out. Loved his class. He does need to be reminded of with returning tests and quizzes

Amazing Professor!!!! Yes, he can go off on boring tangents, but if you engage him in discussion, you'll love it! He's incredibly passionate and knowledgeable. He's a great person to talk to outside of class, also. He's a pretty easy grader and an awesome professor!

One of Wheaton's finest. Scatter-brained at times, but a wise loon - and extremely knowledgeable. Anyone with the slightest interest in religion should spend some time in a classroom with JBK. A clearly fun-loving person, but he's no joke.

Best professor at Wheaton College. If you have any sense, you will take at-least one of his classes before you graduate. He is one of the most brilliant professors I have met, and Is the best guy to talk about anything with. His classes are easy, but the material is so crucial and important, everyone should take them!

Not a fan. His humor is too goofy and gets on random tangents about nothing pertaining to the material. Tests were easy - multiple choice and essay. Very late with handing back exams, never got my last 2 quizzes back.

a great guy, very easy going. sometimes class can be a bit slow if you're not engaged, but it's never an issue. quizes are super easy and he tells you the test questions ahead of time - he's not looking to screw you, he's looking for you to learn. he's funny and knows a lot about what he teaches and often there are great arguments in class.
