I have never been that into Government but Ken is a great teacher who made it interseting and undertstandable. He even inspired me to register to vote, which I have never even wanted to do. I highly recomend him as a teacher and am sad that he is no longer at Cowley.

Ken is an amazing teacher who makes history fun and exciting. He has an amazing knowledge and passion for history and teaching that shows. There is no reason to go away from his class without having learned something. Hands down the best teacher I have ever had! I wish that he taught more classes because I have already taken them all!

Honestly, the best teacher I have ever had. I learned a lot in the class, I truely enjoyed being there, and with a little effort, an easy class. Mr Spurgeon is amazing!!!

I thought his class was wonderful. He teaches history as if he was present in that day. He can tell you famous people's personalities and everything. Very helpful and gives exams about once a month only covering what was discussed. Mid-terms and finals are over the current chapters; not over the semester. Highly recommend!

Interesting lectures, far more interesting to listen to than to read the book. I spent time on one of the sets while he filmed his creation of Bleeding Kansas, a documentary that will be coming out in Feb. You should finish his class with a deeper understaning of US history.
