He is the best professor I have had at UMF. He is absolutely brilliant, as well as extremely helpful. He knows exactly how to TEACH a student - and so it becomes natural to be eager to want to learn from him! I recommend him highly!

Probably the BEST professor I have EVER had! Extremely brilliant, treats everyone as an equal, loves class discussion, is always willing to help clarify, and he is extremely passionate about what he teaches. Yes, his classes are ALWAYS difficult but you always learn from him. If you go to class, read, and study, you'll do well.

Jonathan Cohen is probably the best professor I've had at UMF. He is a sweet guy, has a good sense of humor, and he always brings both of these qualities to the classroom. He definitely encourages class discussion and he treats every student, even the most intolerable ones, with respect. Overall, he's a great guy and a great teacher.

Comment:
Not the best teacher. Clear in instructions, but unfair in grading and treatment towards students. Definitely grades depending on whether he likes you in general. Told one student not to talk in class (as in adding to he discussion). Gets frustrated with students if they do not participate or understand something. Nice guy at times though.

I took Critical Thinking with Cohen and although it wasn't the most interesting class I have ever had he is an excellent professor. Everything is explained clearly and you know what he expects. He is more than willing to help anyone out that has questions.
