Great teacher, cheap department. One or two welding machines for 30+ students, in sculpture, at no point do you get more than 15 minutes instruction on how to weld. Lots of waiting around for equipment and coming in on weekends just to get to use the tools that should be readily provided to you. The teacher is great, but the class is a joke.

He was the most amazing teacher I have ever had. He showed me that anything you can dream up in your mind you can pull in to reality - and he'll guide you through that process. Also, he is the most genuinely caring individual I have ever met. My learning experiences were so over the top that I am going to take him again this fall for Sculpture!

a genuinely kind man. My only complaint is that there weren't enough clones of him to go around, I spent the vast majority of class time reading a magazine while waiting in line to ask him a question or use one piece of equipment. His group projects are usually disasters though, because you don't get to pick your own group.

this guy has a cool career outside of classroom but doesn't teach safety or technique -- maybe he wants you to already know it? he blows up, not cool. curses during critiques, also not cool. very little quality one-on-one guidance. too little challenge for the money. too easy to get a good grade or to make him mad unexpectedly.

always very busy. people are lined up waiting to ask questions usually. i am scared to death of him because he can be the coolest, most layed back, peaceful, sweet, guy in the world and the slightest thing can happen -i mean it can be the dropping of a hammer -and he flips out yelling and cussing
