He rambles but has a sense of humor.On Halloween we had class &he spent 45 minutes telling ghost stries & then decided we could be done with class after our quiz- night class that is usually 3hrs. Few pretty easy quizzes and a paper- as long as you make your point, you'll do fine. On mine he said he disagreed but I had argued my point-got 39/40.

Lectures are a snoozefest. He talks in the same tone and rambles on at times. But if you listen to what he is saying and partake in the discussion you'll learn quite a bit and expand the way you think about many things. You are graded on a few MC quizzes and an essay. Overall, very knowledgeable professor and a great class to take.

This could have been an interesting class, but Freeman should have stopped teaching long ago. Clearly once had some activism in him, but now he's just turned apathetic. Lectures are so dry and unvaried. Easy A, yes, but is it worth it?

I took this professor because I wanted to learn something but I learned nothing. He spent the entire time talking about nothing. The only thign that was discussed was his hippy days and about how we should all caravan to washington and levatate the pentagon. I came out dumbber than I went in.

He has the easiest testing format of any teacaher or professor I have ever had. First grade quizes were harder. If you are looking for a good learning experience with minimal testing, Freeman is the way to go

Easiest professor in the world. Lectures were fairly engaging, and he misses class a lot if you're into that. Only thing is if you've never met a communist liberal that would have the government wipe everyone's asses for them cause he wants the government to do everything for everyone, you're in for a suprise.

i took freeman during the election of 2004....wow....it was a struggle being the only conservative(at least who would speak up)...but overall i found it fun and his classes are always interesting because you never know what he's going to talk about. i would definitely recommend him even if your views aren't the same...he wont hold it against you

Had very interesting & important discussions about political philosophy while in class. Although when he lectured, SNORE! Quizzes are tricky but you get to take them twice, once by yourself & once in a group. Although missed more classes than a Professor should & didn't tell us he wouldn't be there, so much for sleeping in!
