I graduated Rutgers 5 years ago and took one of prof. Lurie's classes as a freshman, by far the finest professor I ever had. The lectures can be boring and the books he assigns can be as well, but pay attention and take notes. His exams are usually open notes and as such if you paid attention to the lectures and took good notes, you'll be fine.

lives for prestige.it's tough to be under his blind power.after the course is over you might feel a little bad for him.but while he's grading you the only person you'll feel sorry for is yourself.i watched idots suck up to him and they were set.challege him and you are in trouble.really insecure guy.grades without reading-you know by the comments.

DR. LURIE IS A VERY INTELLIGENT AND FAIR PROFESSOR. A LOT OF READING BUT HIS LECTURE CLASSES ARE WORTH GOING TO, YOU WILL ACTUALLY LEARN INTERESTING FACTS. YOU DO THE WORK YOU WILL DO FINE, HE DOESN'T WANT TO FAIL ANYONE. AS LONG AS YOU SHOW THAT YOU ARE WILLING TO WORK HARD AND DO SOME WORK

Taking two of his classes influenced me to go to law school. Of course, I later dropped out of law school, but perhaps I would have stayed if Mr. Lurie taught some of the classes. He makes you write a lot, big deal. The assignments are interesting.
