Comment:
Professor Kim is a very nice and caring man. The class is entirely lectured based, with 3 exams. The exams are near impossible and I got below a 60 on every one. There are a few easy homework assignments that help boost your grade. And at the end of the semester he heavily scales your grade. Class is VERY challenging.

He is a great man and is VERY passionate about economics. Unfortunately, he has a heavy accent and moves quickly so it can be hard to follow what he is teaching. The class is based off three HARD exams each worth 25%. Attendance is not mandatory, but he checks sporadically. Class is hard, but he scales all grades at the end, heavily in your favor.

Unless you are interested in econ, I wouldn't take him. Requires a lot of effort. He is a very nice teacher and has regular office hours, but the entire class is a lecture that is somewhat difficult to follow and hard stay on task.

He is very knowledgable in the area of macro. However, he has a very heavy accent and is soft spoken, very vague when writing things on the board, and lectures off of powerpoints the whole class. He is super nice and has regular office hours, but tests are hard and covers a lot of material. I personally did not like it- but you may if you like econ

Great guy, hard teacher. Makes sense when he's lecturing, but tests are impossible. Doesn't look at wall street journal assignments, just gives you credit if you attempted. Heavy lecture. Available for extra help... But, don't take him if you aren't an Econ major. Hard, hard teacher

Professor Kim is very smart. His class is difficult but as expected for a 400 level. He enjoys the subject and is more than willing to talk with you one on one. Some in the class are not econ majors /minors tho and thus they have a hard time. Would not recommend if you are just taking it for the history credit and are not econ minded.

Kim's a nice guy, and he cares about what he teaches. Hard to follow along with though, his class if lecture-style. Tests are decently difficult, but the biggest advantage is the Wall Street Journal assignments; they boost your grade a ton. We never used the book, don't waste your money. I screwed up on one test, but all my others were B's.

Professor Kim is really boring, not gonna lie but really kind. His lectures are really boring but you can tell he's a really smart guy. You rarely ever get homework, you get like 4 homework assignments for the semester and they're really easy. His exams IMO are really easy as long as you study. He gives a study guide on topics that will be on it

One of the best economics professor at Bryant, not sure why he got so many low ratings. Cares about his students and is a generally pretty easy professor. His class wasn't hard IMO.

He is not easy to understand and his tests are very difficult. There are also homework assignments due every week. The good news however is that he scales the tests to help your grade. I thought i did terrible and ended up with a B. He is also a very nice guy

Do NOT. For the LOVE of SWEET MERCIFUL JESUS, take him. Let me be clear, he's an awesome guy. He cares about teaching, and has NEVER been mean toward students; always a pleasure to be around. However, he is extremely hard to understand and gives the longest lectures you can imagine. Very hard grader, and you will regret it.

Homework is all online and only a small portion of the grade. The book doesn't help with anything. Lectures are dull, boring, and all over the place. Very quiet and hard to understand at times. Would not recommend.

His lectures drag on as they are dull and all over the place making him hard to follow, especially with his accent. Lots of online homework (only a small part of the overall grade) and have tough tests (75% of the grade, including the final cumulative exam) then take him. If not, then stay away from his class and take it with another professor.

I enjoyed the class greatly. He uses powerpoint slides to teach the class. He seemed knowledgeable about the material. Although he had an accent, I understood the content. He gives several examples to make sure you understand the theory. Tests are multiple choice question combines with short answer question and calculations.

The guy has great lecture slides, but I found it impossible to learn anything in class due to his accent. I usually just took the class to look over the slides myself and googled anything I didn't understand.

Nice guy but teaches from slides. All exams given from problem sets and slides, which can be pretty difficult. I studied 10+ hours for each exam and am anticipating a C or C+. There's also a 12 page paper which can be done with a partner. No other homework, don't use book.
