Labs are alright. Midterm only. No final. The midterm is very hard and timed. Recommend being prepared for that. Professor has an accent but is understandable. He is more of a researcher than professor, which means he knows how to do what he teaches, but is not a good explainer. Be prepared to learn on your own in this one.

Well, the highest grade in the class was a 78% and the highest grade on the multiple choice midterm was 83%. For the take home midterm, half the class got a 0, rest was 10-20%. Part of the second midterm was to use a websites resources, and I couldn't get it started, he did not help me at all overcome this uncontrollable variable. Avoid him!

Tough grader and does not assist you if you are struggling with a lab or midterm. Gave us graduate courses for an undergraduate class. Does not teach in person. Half the days you meet in class but during that time you work on labs. Other half he makes you watch recorded lectures online so you don't show up to class those days. Worst professor ever.

The lab was not hard but in the tests you'll have to know at least some information so you won't flip through pages every minute. Pay some attention to what you're doing in the lab and attend class. The professor is a little quiet on the voice but much of the information is in the lecture slides.

Good class in the beginning. Midterm is easy. Study guides he gives is word for word. Trust me though study the final like crazy. The study guides he gives you is about 1/4 of the whole final. Overall good guy, but seriously study for the final.

He is super smart guy, but the lectures are dreadful. If you pay attention you really do learn a lot, but you can easily do anythihng else and pass. I never used the text book but the lab book is a must! Study his guides and what he puts on the website! Don't miss assignments or you'll grade will drop a lot!

Class had many components. Lecture was a bit depressing but manageable. The labs were more challenging but self work. The midterm was fair but the final was a killer. It was ok overall.

Like others said, extremely boring class, nice guy, midterm was taken straight from study guide then who knows where the final came from. Had a perfect score until the final which brought me down to a B. Easy B class but get ready to know the RPM of a hard drive (??) for the final if you want that A. Save money and get older text editions also.

Very difficult to understand him. The class is super boring! His labs are easy & you don't even have to show up for lectures. They're pointless. Don't buy the lecture book. You only need the lab one. For the midterm, he takes ?'s from the practice tests he gives the students. The final was a lot harder cause it wasn't the same situation. Easy class just make sure you're ready for the final & do all the labs & hw

You don't have to stay for lab. The midterm was easy but the final was hard. He has four homework assignments, several inclass lab assignments that he checks at the end of lecture portion of class ~8pm. The class over all isn't difficult but the final really brought my grade down since it's worth so much of the grade. Also he's hard to understand.

Easiest Java class...most of work is from in class labs. Class consisted of mostly idiots like me and 4 nerds. Just ask the nerds for help and you will do fine. Easy homework. Thorough review for midterm and final.

GET this professor! You can pass with your eyes closed, seriously. You only need the Microsoft office book. Do the lab assignments at home and show them to him the first 5min of class and you are out! Don?t bother going on the lecture days-he gives you a practice midterm and practice final(optional) and THEY ARE THE EXAM-word for word.

He teaches the lab portion only. He was VERY easy. All you do is follow the instructions in the book. He has an accent, but it's not a big deal. If you finish early, you can leave after having him give you credit. I suggest doing the work at home and come to class to show him, and then leave.

Only "teaches" the lab section of CIS 100. Doesn't lecture and lets you do the lab and leave as soon as your done with it. If you have him for your lab section make sure you do it at home to save yourself from staying the entire time. He is almost impossible to understand because of his thick accent.

He's very nice and open to answer questions, but his English is very difficult to understand. All you do in the lab are the excercises from the book. He does not lecture. Do the online practice tests (see book) to prepare for the Exams. Midterm and final are not easy unless you know alot about computers already.

Attendance is not mandatory as long as you talk to him. You still have to do all the work and show it to him and then you can leave. His english is pretty bad...BUT u dont have 2 listen to him n CIS 100 Lab. You do everything from the office book which walks you though word, excel, ppt, access. He grades pretty easy. u hav 4 hw 2 turn n b email.

Hard to understand. Offer no help outside of class. Takes forever to post HW grades & no review for final. Grade on a class curve. You decide.
