Comment:

Prof. Moreira is honestly the most caring professor I have ever had. Learning a new language, of course, is always going to be difficult, but he makes sure he gives clear guidelines on what will be on the tests and work. He is super funny, and really wants all his students to succeed and have fun while doing so. I'm taking him for Portuguese again.

I was worried the first day because of his accent, but this class wasn't that bad. He makes class boring but he is always willing to clarify and to help. Homework is online and usually easy. I went to his office hours and was super helpful. He wants to know you personally and is one of the nicest professors here. I would take a class of his again

He is an awful teacher. He once said in class: "Teachers aren't there to teach you. They are there to give you the tools to help you teach yourself." He lives by this. He doesn't teach you. For tests, you have to teach yourself. He requires attendance and class is very stupid. He just shows youtube videos of Spanish that is meant for 6 year olds.

Jose is the man. He's so funny and entertaining and really tries to get everyone involved. He is by far my favorite professor at CofC. However, he does get off topic a lot and some students get annoyed by actually showing up to class because they say we dont learn very much. Personally, I would take the class again if I could.

Jose is a very fun guy. He is very passionate about Brazil and wants to share that with his students, sometimes too much when he gets carried away. he always looks out for the best interest in the students and is ALWAYS willing to help. being in college, it is up to you to take the time to memorize the vocabulary on your own, not during class.

Jose is awesome! He is very laid back and nice. He likes to joke around a lot. Unfortunately he is not really the best of teachers and isn't very clear but his tests are easy and the homework is easy. Take the conversation class if you need help and it will be fine. Jose is one of the most genuine people I've ever met. He is always prepared. He is hard to understand at times, he always encourages you to ask questions. He is a true Brazilian-laid back. He oozes patriotism for Brazil,and made me look forward to learning about the culture. Do not take him if you are uptight and only worried about the grade.

Prof. Moreira is a really sweet guy. Alot of students give him a hard time but he really is a nice person. I'm not going to say that he is the best teacher in the world but if you ask questions it will help when you need clarification because he can be somewhat confusing. Just ask questions if you aren't sure. I love spanish and made an A+.

nice guy, doesnt really teach you much of anything though. i rate him a 3 on easiness simply because class is a breeze and the tests are also but expect to be unprepared for the final. if youre a girl and hot, i suggest using that as a bargaining tool; itll work.
